I have some apartments that I'm going to look into but right now things aren't looking so bright.

I'm feeling excited to get back to ship-to-ship combat gaming, starting next week.

First experience came to me since BF 1942, next came AirBuccaneers, as well as a navy mod for UT2004 from 2008-2016. I then moved on to play Medieval 2 and Shogun 2 in late 2016 to early 2017. In recent months, I played a bit of The Frozen Throne expansion on Warcraft III and Sid Meier's Revolution, and now I'm getting Battlestations Midway and Pacific to fully immerse myself into some realistic action.

Overall, 15 years of being a gaming admiral both single-player and multiplayer makes me feel ready enough to go up against the Abyssal Fleet. I must've been real proud of myself. 🙂

Problems with family.

I just finished week 3/4 of an intensive ESL training course.

I feel like I barely have time to think after training every day. My proctor is giving constructive criticism but is also has one of the worst fucking asshole personalities I've met. And I don't say that about people easily... Just give me that certificate in a week. I really hope actual teaching gets easy more quickly than this does.

I feel motivated. It's been a really long time since I've programmed something, finished some book or drawed something. Getting my dream job year ago was nice, but I'm in stagnation right now - I don't actually make any progress in my life except work. Time to start doing things again!

Had to move the Abyssal Fleet Event to tomorrow morning, and I got no rest the other day, so I took a siesta nap. I'm a very rare hummingbird.

My laptop appears to have gone comatose and I'm worried that the hard drive may have finally decided to give out on me, which would suck since there are a lot of things on there I want to keep.

The power LED comes on. That is all. The LEDs for what I assume are networking and disk access are totally dead. I can hear a fan working inside if I press my ear right up against one of the bottom grates. The light on my USB headet also never turns on which is how I determined it wasn't just a display failure.

Doesn't sound like a hard drive issue. More likely the motherboard.

Guess I'll pop the HDD out and see if it's fine.

Pretty crap - most likely gonna get kicked off my MEng course 🙁

Edit: Feeling a bit more optimistic - some lab marks hadn't been taken in to account yet!
