So yeah, i've netted a scholarship now in Japan. I didn't told anyone about this and my flight goes out next week.

So yeah, even before graduating i started to apply to stuff, i got scholarships earned in New Zealand, the UK and the US but when the Japan Embassy called me to tell me that i've earned a full post-grade scholarship in Japan i didn't hesitated to go for it. I broke my news down to my parents and while my dad and grandpa are super stoked that i'm getting to travel, my mom made a whole scene about it like "Where are you gonna live?", "What are you gonna do?, "It's so far away!", "We're not gonna see you in years!". My grandma stepped right in and told her "You should be thoughtful of him like i was thinking about the best for you when you moved to Sweden back in the 80's".
Honestly, while i've been on vacation twice there, going to live like a japanese man for the next 4 or 5 years kinda scares me but i know that something like this ain't granted twice in life so i'll be going with the biggest smile on my face.

Good old grandma with the much-needed rek.

I'm going to Kunitachi to get a PhD in Technology and Aesthetic of Sound, i couldn't get into Tokyo University.

I'll be going to Tokyo for college. About the residency, i think is inside the campus. Weird since we don't have that system of scholar housing here in Chile.

Decided to fix up my old bike only to find out it had been stolen from my shed. Wonderful.

It was an old ass bike that I fixed up a long time ago after my aunt found it in a ditch lol. I had a lot of love put into it until some kid back in high school slashed my tires.

Uh, are there posts in this thread that just staff members can see or is it something else? There's a difference of ten between what you and I see in the reply counter and it was a difference of seven at >>65357.
