What are you currently watching and why should we watch it?

A few things on my now watching list... Crest of the Stars - this is dope, though i need to find a good quality version (also Banner of the Stars, which is not exactly the same from what i can tell); I have been getting into Yu Yu Hakusho which is also very cool and the element of character transformation takes me back to the old days of watching DBZ as a kid; Also i have been working through Initial D season 2 which has a killer soundtrack all through season 1 and beyond!

Does 720p qualify as good quality? I honestly don't know these days.

Anyhoo, I only watched like, five seconds of a random snippet, but I can already tell it's really good. Regardless of whatever plot it might have, that grand, sweeping orchestral fare is perfectly suited to a series of this nature. I'll definitely watch it sooner or later.

Kinzaiver...

IT'S SO DAMN GOOD!!!

I really liked the character design, and how they chose to animate such detailed designs with such fluidity. It's really a beautiful show, but I can't make myself care about the plot or any of the characters.

Huh, I really liked the plot, and most of the characters. WHich parts didn't you like about Kiznaiver?

Up to where I watched. It took forever to accomplish any thing and kept beating it's point again and again, i'll probably finish it eventually. It's a visual feast, but thematically it feels completely empty and juvenile

Well, rather interestingly I felt that the whole series was a tad too short. Maybe not 24 episodes, but a few more episodes to fully flesh out each character would have been welcomed.

It seems that episodes 1-2 were setting up the very basics of the concept, world and characters - followed by episodes 3-7 doing character development. Episodes 8-12 were the final arc, which I thought was paced quite well. Episode 9 was where the final arc really kicked off.

I'm currently watching Arslen Senki. It's got a fairly immersive world and a pretty good plot so far. It's nothing new, but it's execution is great.

It's one of the only series I can watch that's not based around romance, which speaks for how good it is at what it does.

Also, the characters are a great bunch, I personally like them all. Most series, there's a couple of tolerable characters, but in this case, even the enemies are justified.

If you liked Avatar the last Airbender, this series won't disappoint.

Also, it's second season started today, so there's that.
