Went to my local Pride Festival today. It was great!

Spent the whole day at a nice party where I got to reconnect with some of my relatives. I probably talked more with a couple of them then than I had in a year or so. Yon love birds was icing on the cake.

a month later

Dragonflies are honestly such fascinating creatures. I watched one spend a whole minute hurling himself at a car-windshield, apparently in some exercise of curiosity. Then his friend came along, and within the blink of an eye they'd darted off towards new adventures on the far side of the parking lot.

The fact that I'm unbanned on lewd, this is very exciting and I'm totally gonna enjoy seeing all of my old friends again.

Oh man, it's been so long since I've last seen you, it's been ages. Thanks for the warm welcome.

And today I discovered a lot of cool new music and it honestly got me very excited! Hella rad stuff.

My nightmares are slowly going away and turning into pleasant dreams c:

Me and my mom got the chance to see wild fish in real life. Cute little minnows, about as long as your pinky and a sliver thin. The things were adorable! They're practically invisible till the sun hits them just right, but they've got these big ol' button eyes. It's a shame I'm some kind of Lovevraftian monster to them - all's I wanted to do was pick one up and give it a squeeze. <3

Forgot to mention this, but about a month back I was accosted by a friendly dog whilst out on a run. The thing was adorable! All gray and shaggy, with these big amber eyes that gleamed in the sunset. Its owner soon arrived in hot pursuit, and hereupon commenced a series of feints and dashes not too dissimilar from when you and a sibling might've played tag on opposite sides of a large tree. Apparently it even tried to climb atop me once, as I felt its claws on my rump. Otherwise it licked and sniffed at my bare ankles and feet, till it eventually thwarted its owner by dashing away in the opposite direction. She apologized profusely as she gave chase, but were she not in a hurry, I'd have called it the highlight of my day.

I love kids, y'know that? While I was at the grocery store picking out vegetables, I had this exchange with a mother and her two children in a kiddy-cart:

Kids: "Helloooo! Helloooo! Helloooooo! Helloooooooo!"
Me: "Oh! Heh, hello!"
Kids: "Heloooo! Hello!"
Mom: "He already said hello guys, you don't need to say it again." 

So obviously, when they turned to leave, I knew what had to be said.

Me: "Goodbyye! Goodbyyye!"
Mom: "Oh, he's saying goodbye! Can you say goodbye guys?"
Kids: "Goodbyye! Goodbyyye!"

I spent the entire second half of my workday reading Calvin and Hobbes strips, and I think it shows. Thar was just the sort of levity I needed to lift me out of a day spent sick.
