What made you smile today?

There's so many more birds out now that the humans are all gone. Just today as I was getting something from the garage, I startled a poor little sparrow that was nesting in the rafters. She was a rather small, but plump little thing. When she landed on the handle of our snowblower, I noted she had plumage of the richest brown I've ever seen, save a thin white stripe than ran back from her beady black eyes. I've never seen a bird like that before, and I wager it's because we aren't around to mess up their habitats.

This quarantine has been hell, but only because of shortages and the possibility of infection. I reckon if the rest of humanity were shut-ins like me, my rare trips out would feel much more special.

Nothing at all

I bet you have the most wonderful smile <3

Found a trash bag by my box of PC parts downstairs, turned out to be a stash of OTC painkillers (acetaminophen, naproxen), vitamins, and heavy duty reusable gloves. I really couldn't have asked for better timing. ^^

Got my tax back. 1.4k$. Hecc. I can finally buy furniture.

Why are American tax refunds so huge??

There's so many things I could pick from today - my family suddenly understanding one another, my brother's anxiety being massively reduced, and the card he hand-made since he can't visit a pharmacy - but I saw the most lovely rainbow I've ever seen when I stepped outside a minute ago. If you looked close, it's even faintly a double-rainbow! I don't put much stock in that sort of thing, that's not a sign, I don't know what is... ^~^

Oh wow, I don't think I've ever seen a rainbow that vivid before!

This sure did. A lot of things, honestly. I talked to a bunch of my close friends today, including one I was really quite worried about! I'm so glad to know she's doing well.

The world may be burning outside our doors, but I'm sure tomorrow will be another good day. Stay safe, everyone. ^_^

The sheer amount of energy this song/meme gives off makes me wanna spring outta bed and greet each day with the energy of a firebolt. Don't you feel the same? (≧∇≦)

"Hindsight is 20/20, and 2020 is not a kind thing."

Heheheheh. My boss is a short, scrappy 50-60 year old Indian woman who, while understanding, can be stern if you press her buttons. She's the last person I'd expect to throw out such a witticism, yet there it is. I'll probably be repeating it all year long. ^^

Through all of today, winds have been carrying a scent softer and sweeter than anything I can remember. There's a burst of jasmines that flower every year for a week in the woods behind our house, I wonder if it's them...
