Forming an Anime Review Group

So we are gonna follow the anime schedule as in releases and try to assign each other to watch them or just watch whatever?

I was thinking that everyone could give ideas for groups or schedule but not have any concrete "you must do this by this time." We just form groups that we like under the reviewer group and then organize threads accordingly.

Like I would like to do "Episode Three Impressions" of new series and anyone who would like to join me could and everyone can do their own thing.

Do we do reviews for each epp or season? and I kinda watch things whenever so if its 12 epps ill do it in a night 24 do it on a weekend and if its 30000000000 epps like one peace ill hang my self

For ongoing crap my plan is to just do a review on everything up to one episode, and then do another after the final.
It'd be to hellish to do everything for each episode

Oh so like Assassination classroom is at epp 7, do a review so far and when it finishes re do the review or you mean compare it to your first review like what changed if it was ruined ext

Depends. If you're doing a straight up review then it's best to do the former as you'll be reviewing it in an unbiased manner. But like me, I'll probably end up doing the latter because I do my "should you watch" based off my own opinion while putting reasons in my argument for why I do or don't like certain aspects. Of course from there the reader will pick up the goods and junks I'm accord to their own likes and dislikes.

Up to the writer and stuffs imo

I personally would do a review of a season. I think everyone should be able to do the type of review they want that way we got variety.
I don't really wanna write single episode reviews or some things like that.

If you guys have a user bar and user stars made then I'd be willing to make the group for you guys, provided you're willing to actually put in the effort this would no doubt require.

Well am doing full season reviews trying to do 200-300 words per review as it is, might expand.

As far as effort, I can't do a review once a day because I can't watch anime that fast let alone also spare the time for a review afterwards. Plus ongoing anime won't be getting a review an episode (because it's kinda dumb imo).

But every now and then I'd spit one up, sure.

:3 I just did one

''K-ON! has to be one of the greatest shows I have ever seen, ''
''Mugi; helpful, friendly, enthusiastic and cute. She has to be one of the nicest people out of any Anime shows ever seen. What food does Mugi have today?''

you didn't say why you gave the bottom scores through like

I started watching K-ON! due to how popular and classic it is amongst the anime community. I will write this review going through every point and why I have given it the score I did, I will also explain how I felt about it, how people might feel about it and what other anime this one is similar too.

Story - The story is very simple, a girl named Yui gets into her high school, she is a careless character who seems to lead the story as you start it. The story involves around her solidly through the first episode, the deal is that she has to join a club. Looking at many clubs and trying to find the one for her she finds a poster about the Light Music Club. With her curiosity she takes a look at the club and has the new band members (Mio, Ritsu and Mugi) play a song for her. Thrilled she joins the club. While we see her getting to know that the Light Music Club exists through the first episode we also see a side of the other band members and how they find out about the club. Ritsu naturally a confident person of the band makes her friend Mio join, Mugi who wants to join another club walks into the Light Music clubroom and gets dragged into the mess. I would say the story is pretty simple, it doesn't exactly have you at the edge of your seat (with me not anyway)... but keeps your attention. The comedy luckily is not jokes that make you cringe, it is generally the interaction and behaviour of the girls as they get closer. I gave the story an 8 due to the fact that it is not a amazing story that was written and thought about for long, it is just a light hearted one.... but at the same time it is well presented.

Animation -
The animation in the series has been smooth, some moments did make me cringe and feel that they should have improved it. Some moments actually made the characters look different, overall the animation style is made to look cute, smooth... I could easily compare the animation with Kyoukai No Kanata... both the animations are smooth and have the same art style if you have seen that anime this can help in seeing what I mean. The animation did not make the show less enjoyable and I doubt many people would be bothered by it.

Sound - (SUB VERSION) The sound has definitely been a important feature of this show, I mean... it is a music anime. I was actually surprised with the quality of the sound the show has received. The songs aren't weird at all, the singing is on point and doesn't sound under made or not paid attention to. They seem to sing in tune and actually practised for the singing parts of the show. The overall sounds are okay and don't make you think like it was recorded in a basement.

Character - The characters are developed through out the show, while I think they are well done it did bother me that we did not receive a bigger picture of their past, families and how they live. We know a lot about Yui's life but the other girls have been a more of a mystery apart from Mugi. This didn't help with getting involved in the story... as I couldn't like all characters so much without knowing more about their life. Overall the characters are developed well and we have the normal personalities Ritsu - Brave, confident and leader of the group. Yui - Careless, main character (mostly) and the one that makes you laugh. Mugi - Kind-hearted, caring and the one that makes sure the group is in place while herself being confident and showing it at times. Mio - Concentrated, hard working, takes a lot of responsibility and doesn't complain. Azusa - The one considered cute, eager to play in the band and has complaints about some things. Enjoyment - I myself enjoyed the anime hugely, there were times when I was dragging myself through the episode but that was rare. I did feel that there should have been more action and detail about the characters as there was in the last episodes 10-13 but the anime still managed to be solid throughout the episodes. It was easily went on the list of my favourite anime and I do want to see the next season, anyone who likes shows that are light hearted and cute should watch this. Is this show for you?

[OVERALL] - It depends, if you are into light-hearted comedies with cute characters and a story to calm you down you should definitely try to watch this anime. It won't have you at the edge of your seat but it will bring in a few laughters and moments that make you happy. It is a classical anime these days that is solid and stands that way, it's popularity hasn't decreased over the years drastically and is still often a recommended anime for people.

Not an amazing review I made but oh well.

I want to form a KF/Weeb.sx? review group. My hopes are that with enough people we can produce very well put together and thoughtful reviews of our favorite shows- new or old. What I don't want, or anyone wants for that matter, are reviews that go "_____ is da bes show ever. :derp: " While members will obviously choose anime which they have a personal bias for, reviews should focus on characteristics like Animation Quality, Character, Music, plot, ect. This group should just be a fun way to critique and discuss works for the community to tell us that we got it all wrong. Being a student I will probably only focus on the anime that I am watching or have watched so I'd like you guys to help diversify the types of anime that we put out.

Anyone interested?

Count me in 🙂 I would like to be the part of it 🙂
