Songs that make you feel some type of way

Lotsa folks in the comments say this reminds them of a Ke$ha song from 2010, pahahah. Regardless what ya think of that artist, that was one of the happiest years of my life~.

Fast-forward a decade, a lotta things changed, yet I'd never lose my preference for bright, colorful, uplifting pop songs. This time however, I'm no longer a little girl. Having seen both the height of joy and the depths of despair, these sort of songs strike a much deeper chord with me. What was once naive excitement has finally become genuine inspiration. <3

I think I can see where they're coming from re Ke$ha... though maybe I'm just convincing myself of it ^_^'

A bit of a strange song to include in Miku Expo though, I think. Maybe because it wasn't irl this year, or maybe because this track's really not my kinda style, but it doesn't feel like a very concerty song.

The road to recovery is long and stony, but the journey is worthwhile.

Today's a "light mode" kinda day. ^_^

"Jaded" - Tired, bored, lacking enthusiasm. When one's jaded, they don't expect anything to change.

These months have been tough. It shouldn't be a surprise that I've struggled with suicidal thoughts. Often, justified by cynical projections of a lonesome future, where life's pain becomes too much.

This song offers and interesting counter to that: But what if I met someone just as Jaded as me?

This MV shook me the first time I watched it. It's a tragic story, no doubt. But witnessing how happy that girl was for that brief moment in time, I imagine I could bear it beside someone who understood me. ^_^

Was driving home early from work the other day. It was sunny out, but just warm enough where it felt nice to have the windows down. Then this track came on:

It was one of those moments you get in life were the absolute perfect song comes on. The song is super upbeat, Kamasami Kong's radio bits really drive home the summer time feeling, it felt so damn good and happy.
