Well, fancy that. Today, I was subject to two random acts of kindness.

For starters, my one co-worker tapped me on the shoulder just past noon and asked me if I was busy. Turns out, the gal in the cube across from him had retired, and she'd left behind a whole buncha books on Job Control Language and COBOL. I told him once that I was interested in learning 'em, so I guess he figured it's better to give them to someone rather than the shredder. I must've thanked him five times.

And after that? The guy in the cube next to me - real character, retired but works for fun - up and gave me an extra German pretzel he didn't want. That's the first time in ages anyone's offered me food, and for once, I'm not even allergic to it! How cool is that?

It's turned out to be a challenging week for me, and I'm not really looking forward to the current project they've got me on. But if the office is gonna be this nice to each other, I'd reckon it's a small price to pay. ^^

Been a while since I've posted here.

I guess something "weird" is I became somewhat of a NEET lately. I'm scared of having a commitment to work but also I need something productive to stave off my boredom.

Yeah I'm staying at my mom's house for the foreseeable future.
My dad is also helping with finances, as well as helping with some job prospects.

We stayed for 19 days! Next time I definitely want to stay longer.

It was kind of a mixed bag. Some were fluent speakers, some only managed very broken English and others couldn't speak it at all . Can't really give you a number though...

My mom is such an interesting person. She's always told me not to walk on the lawn at night since the grass is sleeping, and just yesterday she asked me to flip a sandal that'd fallen upside-down since it'd bring bad luck. 

Her superstition does have its downsides though. She's been going through a rather stressful time behind the scenes, and was wondering yesterday if someone had cursed her. I had to look her in the eye and tell her that her misfortunes arose not from some great deceiver, as Descartes put it, but rather from the actions of individual people. I do hope she takes that to heart.

Got into a car crash yesterday. The car is gone. My body aches quite a bit, but some of that is down to the fact that I also went kayaking just before it.

Of course, the one time I go outside I get injured.

A lot of weird shit is going down back on Lucia, which is the reason I was on an unscheduled absence. I am at war on two fronts: one is Nature's Dominion who doesn't seem to tolerate anyone who isn't part of the Family as well as sub-owning Gensokyo than I previously thought to be Remilia, and the other are some dissidents from Eientei, who somehow manage to betray Kaguya Hime, a founder who controls Eientei. I met an unexpected ally representing a historical WWII Japan no doubt, given that Lucia is no stranger to Imperialist motives. Lyretano, the one I met a week ago that kickstarted our third civil war with shaky loyalties and no single ideology to stick, and the Order of Twelve, a curious country pursuing knowledge from others and exceptionally good at factbooks despite having entered NS very recently.

Yeah, I just have some whiplash and a small concussion but I'm getting better. Unfortunately, it seems my camera might not be okay. Although the fucking idiot's insurance should be taking care of that.

Whenever I'm driving, I always fear that I'll be the fucking idiot >.<
