Had a conversation with a co-worker in the restroom while we were both on the shitter

My worst nightmare

6 days later

Man, VR Chat is freakin' wild. Not to mention, a bit of a blessing and a curse. On one hand, I can finally talk to people despite my status as a total shut-in, which is real nice. But on the other, I find myself constantly reminded of how long it's been since I had an actual, meaningful conversation with someone face-to-face. I miss the gregarious quality I carried about me in the past. Perhaps it's something I can relearn someday.

Had to dispose of a dead bird 🙁

My two parakeets recently had one of their eggs hatch and the only one that hatched also didnt make it. It is a very sad time for birds all around.

The kitchen lights downstairs tend to make a static dim when the light is turned on; I thought it was dying because it does not match the temperature from the adjacent entertainment center, so I turned it off briefly. I then tried it again it seem to work fine, but as I was about to eat my dinner the other night, it dimmed again. This might be a good but very common reality check for me to see whether I am stuck in reality or actually in the dreamverse.

This might be a good time to get the property owner to sort these lights soon, it does not happen like that too often. The only kitchen light we use every day is the closest left one that lights up the whole small room.

Came across a lady at work with a Dear Evan Hansen t-shirt who told me she was wearing a different theatre shirt every day that whole week until the Tony's. Hope you enjoyed the show miss! 🙂

D'awwh... You're such a sweetheart, Loko-kun. I'm sure she did. <3

Just got a notice from Windows saying they'll stop giving my Windows 7 PC performance updates when my 23rd birthday is very close starting next year halfway through the first month and wants me to switch to Windows 10, otherwise this widescreen beauty will be left exposed more to unwanted bad stuff, particularly if I decide to mod more of my stuff later on.

I'm not going to ditch my Windows 7 and this PC until I'm fully sure I'm ready to make the switch.

I trusted Windows as well as Microsoft more than long enough my whole life it isn't scaremongering to me, they give me half a year in advance with transparency they felt like it has nearly reached its limit for servicing an outdated system. I even checked their FAQ on what the new OS does before I decide to check the don’t remind me again box, and wanting to make sure that the transition from Windows 7 to Windows 10 goes along smoothly. I think it calls for lighter, sleeker units and built-in security. Technology may have evolved with the Windows, but I hate to find out if they're going to start secretly spy on me through their new "recognition" features from there on out. Then I will finally come to realization it was indeed quite the scare all along.

Probably around the end of this year I might make the toughest decision yet.

There's your mistake

I called a friend butterscotch and to this second it is troubling me

6 days later

My one work friend has been surprising me as of late, and not in a good way. Normally he's really shy, won't even reply to emails unless you copy the boss or go to his desk. But today he spent a whole half-hour ragging about politics with my other co-workers.

Interesting dude. I'd hesitate to call him nice, though.

It's not very thick, like the yellow pages. It's a BT phone book, with like, 212 pages.

Interestingly enough, one of the ads in there inspired me to look into getting CompTIA certified.
