I decided to make an FAQ post regarding 1-on-1 battles in here before I begin this battle, so bear with me.
>Q1: What is this about?
A1: This thread is about one-on-one duels, we use our avatars to engage in battles using 2D stages from various anime shows. The one who hosts the challenge gets to choose a stage, time of day, and weather conditions. The one being challenged must make a post stating they’re ready within a two-week period. Difficulty is rated by the stage's setting, your experience level, and then comparing both avatars' tier level (if applicable).
>Q2: How do I knock out my opponent, I just stand there doing nothing, please help!
A2: For starters, use asterisks at the start and end of each input, and for intermediate and expert players, use the > key to make your text purple. Damage values are arbitrary because each character deals damage differently, but you can use numbers or percentages to type how much you inflict on your opponent. An input is equal to one command, and you can have up to no more than five inputs in a single move. You can view my previous battles to see how it works out that can assist you.
>Q3: I'm confused about the heads-up-display, can you explain this to me more clearly?
A3: You and your opponent have a health bar, a thin outline indicating your defenses, a special ability meter, and a timer, since most fighting games has this feature.
Health: You lose health when you take damage from your opponent, getting a ring out, or have status effects. If you lose all your health, you're KO'ed.
Special Ability Meter: Successful hits, counters, whiffing attacks, and simply moving around the stage are all good ways to build up that little meter below your health meter. At 25%, you can do a guard impact or attack-throw, which means you perform an attack that causes a throw. At 50%, you can buff your avatar for temporary increased effectiveness, and finally at 100% when it glows, you can do an ultima that dish out a lot of damage if done right.
Guard Outline: The thin outline around your health meter is your current guard state. Grey indicates your defenses are greater than 50%, yellow is when your defenses are greater than 25%, but less than 50%, and red means your avatar is at risk of a "guard crush." Guard impacting or refraining from blocking your opponent's attacks are the only ways of preventing such occasions, as when that happens, you take double damage and left vulnerable for a few seconds.
Timer: This shows how many seconds you and your opponent has remaining before the end of the current round. If this hits zero, the player with the most health wins the round.
"Hopefully this Týr can bring down this bak..." notices Lucia looking at her direction Hides behind Sakuya

I feel your recent troubles; I'll postpone this until you get better.
I'll give @[deleted] plenty of time to recover between the 20th of July until the 3rd of August at 20:00 (8PM EST). If my opponent somehow fully recovers before then, we will then start immediately without any further delay.
Edit: As of 8/2, unfortunately I have to switch opponents and see if I can find someone else worthy.

Hmm, this particular city of interest in southern Japan is worth a visit to encounter a giant octahedron that the Lucians believe is 'sentient'. For the past 17 years, it was dormant, but until now, this unbelievable source of power has somewhat became sentient again on its own, and it's all up to Lucia to stop that thing no matter the cost.

Battle Theme:
Intro: 0:00-1:18
Full health to 80% HP: 1:18-2:13
80% to 60% HP: 2:13-4:06
60% to 40% HP: 4:06-5:25
40% to 20% HP: 5:25-6:45
Low HP: 6:45-7:23

Maybe best to battle people who are actually nround?
Also tagging doesn't work unless the person tagged is a mod

It's time to make things a bit interesting. I'm ready to face against a moderator.
In battles with higher-ranked players that have heart symbols, my avatar will act in a more honorable, respectable way, given that Lucians always respect higher authority above all else.
In some intense battles, there will be QTEs, so watch out for very powerful attacks. If such an input comes hurling at a character and the input required to dodge depending on the attack is not performed quickly enough, then that character will suffer heavy damage, and left wide open for follow-ups for a brief time. When a QTE occurs, the song goes into a short refrain phase.
My samurai girl has 50% extra health than my previous avatar, and is capable of using magic that empowers not only herself but her sword with pure energy, too. Her health is set to about 10,000.
This song absolutely fits Moeki's scenery.
Battle Theme:
Intro: 0:00-0:28
Full health to 75% HP: 0:28-1:00
QTE 1: 1:00-1:13
75% to 50% HP: 1:13-1:38
QTE 2: 1:38-2:04
50% to 25% HP: 2:04-2:29
QTE 3: 2:29-2:57
Low health: 2:57 to end

Ooh, this is lookin' real good. Best of luck, qts!

"Yes indeed, and I'm sure enough I'm ready to face you." Genji replied with her deep voice, before she slowly unsheathes her katana
"All right, don't let fear hold you back; I want to see what you're truly capable of." Genji performs a little twirl of her sword around before going to battle ready stance
Genji's HP: 100%
Moeki's HP: 100%
First move goes to you, Moeki. <3
Genji is suddenly surrounded by minions summoned by Moeki, possibly something she never encountered outside of her home planet. Whatever that is, she dispatches two of them in one slice, dropping to the ground. She has sustained 1.5% damage from the minions.
She then proceeds to charge forward towards Moeki to interrupt the casting, dealing 6% of her health.
Genji's HP: 98.5%
Moeki's HP: 94%
Genji is becoming infuriated at how late she is from her wristwatch, as she waits for a counterattack, her red eyes narrow and teeth gritting.
"I'm late for my next meeting, no lollygagging lookie-looing during mid-battle!"
"Grrr... No honor means no chance of victory for you!"
Genji yells over the trees as night slowly begins to fall on the two of them, and her fiery eyes activate thermovision to locate footprints left by Moeki.
Moments after she said that, two deer attempt to ram her toward the dirt trail, but she swings both of them with ease, now slumped on the ground.
Genji has sustained only 1% damage from the deer's antlers
"No animal on this planet can make a meal out of me." Genji says to the two dead deer
Genji's thermovision reveals Moeki's approximate location after about two minutes of walking around, hiding in a bush. She casts a large fireball from her left hand to burn it, setting her ablaze, taking 5% fire damage with it.
Genji's HP: 97.5%
Moeki's HP: 89%
Genji finally spots Moeki
"In any fight, you can't hide from your opponents, and in this case, you can't hide from me."
She then tries to beckon her to engage directly
"Now come at me, then!"

Genji: "FLAME STRIKE!"
She spins her katana around clockwise with one hand before her other hand catches it, then jumps up mid-air and slams on Moeki hard, knocking her back 10 meters, inflicting 12% fire damage.
Genji's Flame Strike skill then goes on cooldown for about 2.5 minutes.
Genji has suffered 15% of her health from being drained of moisture.
Genji's HP: 82.5%
Moeki's HP: 77%
Spectators, this battle will take longer than usual due to long delays in airing, but it will be finished eventually.
