I won't be able to play this weekend :<
Anyone up for some Worms Armageddon?
Posts
I may have lunch now, but if I can get myself over here in time, then yes.
I have a little clearing up with @RX14 from our last set of games regarding my strategy:
I attack my enemies based on their approximate skill level from highest to lowest as if to balance out the match, not by proximity or top to bottom by team health. If two players have the same skill level, then top to bottom it is. However, in situations where I predict I won't be able to get another turn out of one of my worms, proximity for high-priority to low-priority threatened worms it is. If there are no high-priority worms on my team, then my low-priority worms will take their places as high-priority.
My elimination stratagem usually goes as follows as of current: Malmon > Backlash (Seeing as @[deleted] is very close to that of Malmon overtime, but nowhere near as good as him) > AIO > RX14 > Moeki
My strategy is to keep my high-priority worms in safe places, and put the low-priority worms on the frontline to conduct attacks. I then try to find the best loot on the map as well as denying high-skilled players a chance of getting it. I then use the items accordingly based on how well the match went. As far as my skill is concerned, like everyone else, I only screw up roughly 10-15% of my turns but this is blamed on RNG.
Malmon's strategy behaves just as you would a Level 5 AI can, but only more intelligent than that and attacks with the best opportunitic move possible, and rarely messes up.
Backlash's strategy tends to deny an opponent's chances of escape, usually saying a meme or two right before attacking, which is typical of Darksiding. Sometimes, he will leave your team alone for a while, and sometimes he wants others to come after your team if you're doing too well.
AIO's the wildcard if he's present, but I put him as average-tier in priority.
RX14 and Moeki are usually saved for last, as the latter tends to screw up more than half of all her turns.
I've got family visiting this weekend, so I'll hafta duck outta Worms today. Maybe tomorrow? Y'all are welcome to play without me, of course. ^^

This is going to have to wait a little bit because I have lunch now, but I understand. Maybe I can let @[deleted] take over and play his scheme for once.
Don't forget about that match today, @[deleted]

Agh, sorry mate. My schedule's totally up in the air right now. I'll drop you a line if I get free later on, 'kay? >.<
I have Worms in the background; I'll wait until I get a flashing yellow notification if any one of us says something to me.
I won't be able to join today - busy with coursework :<
I have free time, so I should be ready soon after lunch whenever any of you are.
Al-riight... Finally got the weekends free. Any of y'all wanna play? I'd prefer if someone else was the host, but I could try my hand in a pinch. ^^
I'll be free all day tomorrow if anyone else wants to play then.
I should be there! There is the off-chance I'll have family stuff tomorrow, but I'll bet I can do that later if need be.
I'm excited. Testing my mettle against all y'all was the highlight of my weekend, and I can't wait to get back to that. <3
EDIT: I'm looking at 12:00 EST/17:00 GMT/18:00 CET, as I've got somewhere to be about three hours later. Sound good?
Even the best players like myself can fail too, and @[deleted] has the victory he badly needs, but not what I want him to deserve. Don't get too egotistical about everything and don't worry about me if I happen to keep hosting games, and here's a tip about grenades in the future. Try to predict the approximate angle of where your grenades are going; the AI notoriously uses that regardless of skill level since the wind does not affect them.
Now I ask the bold question: How about a different game other than Worms?
Any of y'all wanna squeeze in a quick game before the holidays? I'm fixin' to start in a little over two hours, (that's 12:00/17:00/18:00 for EST/GMT/CET). I'd be happy to host if need be. ^^

Are you sure you going to be the new host? You might not have Malmon's or my own scheme, but you can at least try creating a new scheme from scratch, alter whatever weapon stats, crate spawn rate, turn time, and so forth. Depending on how far you went in singleplayer and training modes, you might even have extra options to mess around. Once you are done, you can then name it and save it and it then becomes your own scheme under your Schemes files. When you are ready to do the hosting after you made your custom scheme, you just find it under the dropdown menu underneath the map without having to memorize again.
Only you can see what the map will look like when the match starts if you click on the map itself, from there it works similar to Paint. You can hover over each function to see what it does and the dropdown are your Levels files. Do note that if you try to make a custom map, you might see visual artifacts or worse, holes on the terrain with small girders in which you have no control once you preview it. If you spot players you don't want included in your games or causing trouble, you can left-click their username just by hovering it, including at the end of round screen as a "kick" function.
Lastly as the host, you can during any round to quit your game if you have to do something, it results in the entire session ending and all players back into the lobby, and you might get a quitter reputation if you make a habit of quitting your live matches often.

Thanks for the tips! I really appreciate 'em, Luci. I'd kinda rather you or Mal be host 'cuz of your fun rulesets, but we'll see what happens. c:

I'm good to go whenever.
Aw man, that was absolutely amazing! Those were some seriously tense games between the three of us, and I'd reckon it woulda been even better with more time and more friends.
Merry Christmas, y'all. With any luck, I'll see you guys just before the new year. <3
Ah, sorry I missed this, I guess I was busy reassembling a washing machine at the time!
