COVID-19

Covid is like a socialist government. No fun

Covid indiscriminately targets all forms of government and no country is immune to it, not even Greenland, Iceland, Paulu, or New Zealand. Just recently, North Korea became the last country on the planet to be infected on the same day they celebrated the armistice with fireworks. Brazil didn't even come close to becoming more infected than here in the U.S. Now China is getting back into being infected once more, a huge failure in their supposed flatlining of new cases.

We're making some progress on the vaccine development, it just entered the second of three long phases.

what

Malmon said conservative gov so assuming lives in Atlanta or something

USA gov is by state. Cali is best state but will make you poor...if like in the north. Like 2k-4k a month for apartments of like 1-2 rooms. Progression is bad hence said libtard as rents go up by shops based on it. Rambling here but just to explain the libtard part in case that was the "what" was about.

Idr if malmon told me where he is at so assumed south east usa

Update on covid. Dont come to cali. Cases go up like if they are going out of style. LAX is rumored to shut down D: rip more of my mail orders and hello more delays

It wants to destroy our hearts from the inside rather than just infecting us in a similar way to the common cold, by destroying the DNA cells into fragments, that is what makes people with heart problems, even myself with a mild form of it I had long time very risk-prone. Now every single college and university have it, no educational facility is safe from it.

Other places of work besides education, supermarkets, and hospitals, the next big target this virus is going to hit hard, are big and small businesses as well as banks, even justice systems will take the full brunt. It wants to cause maximum disorder within countries' economies and way of life.

It's honestly incredible how bitter and cynical I've managed to become in the span of just these past... seven months? Jesus. That time has seen me uncover the howling nightmare that's my PTSD, get ignored outta spite when I was direly ill, and witness even people I trust conduct themselves with such cruelty that I don't even recognize them anymore.

I suppose cast in such a situation, the previous me would have struggled to maintain her smile in spite of it all. I still do, in good company. You guys have seen me at my best. Yet among the the housemates I once called my family, it's becoming apparent that both care more for what they can get out of me than any sense of genuine closeness.

And, you know, I can't fault them for that. In the midst of a pandemic when the whole country seems like it's burning to the ground [ Those Californian wildfires literally looked like a depiction of hell. ], everyone's trying to watch their own back, and, frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if some didn't know anything but that comfort. My oldest co-worker, and especially my mom strike me as tremendous man-children.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't put a .44 to the back of their skulls, though. It wouldn't even be for the thrill, just convenience, say the chips were down. Appraising them as I do now, I can only reckon they'd do the same to me.

But... is that really a healthy way of looking at it? Disconnecting my emotions till the last hours of work? I look to my brother, and I feel a slight unease knowing I haven't felt close to him in... nearly half a decade. And although I've just recovered from the misery of last week - when a cruel insurance policy saw me run out of antidepressants and questioning my very humanity - part of me still wants to lock myself away from other people for good.

And yet, I don't. At the end of each night, I remind myself that I'm someone special, that I'm destined for something great. In that vein, perhaps it's best to embrace that I really don't care much about any of these people. On the contrary, I know who's looked after me at my worst, and I'll do everything I can to take care of them. I suppose, that's what makes me feel human again.

The funny thing for me about Covid it that even before covid, I used to wear bandanas over my face all the time. So when Covid came around and we had to wear face coverings, it was almost like nothing changed for me, for the face wearing department.
Covid has been, kind of weird for me, not necessarily the virus part, but during this year, I feel like I've had to think a lot more about my life and where I'm going.
What's really been annoying for me is the thought of getting a job in my town. When I see most places I could work, I can't help but think of how awful it sounds.
I don't really like the people in my area. I feel such a disconnect from them that conversations are nothing more but a big word salad. And although I like salads (literal salads), this word salad is the only option for me when I talk to peope, and I'd rather starve myself of the boring repetitive conversations than have to down any more.
Just thinking about that in context of getting a job for the rest of my life, it makes me want to get out of this place. I hope one day I do.
Just hope that I can find a place where it's not like here, cause it's as if almost all the people in my life are cardboard cutouts.

On a good note, It's nice to know there's a covid vaccination hopefully coming soon to, probably everywhere.
Makes me wonder what those science people do every day finding a cure, and how they even get a job like that.

Is it difficult for you to move somewhere else? Well, covid aside, of course ^_^'

Long term, probably not a problem, right now, yeah. Mostly just due to me needing to go through college first before I can really leave. Without getting some kind of career path, I don't really have a clear way out. It's kind of a culture thing, cause where I live the culture is pretty state wide, so it can feel like I meet copies of the same people at times.
Not to say I haven't met anyone at all, but they've moved on, and I'm still stuck here. But I'd say once I can get what I need to move on out (get through college), things should be at least a bit open, which is pretty exciting.

Covid can go suck a dick. People went out to celebrate the elections without masks lol. And now corona cases doubled. 46 or something counties of cali of the 52 or 54 whatever have gone to the red/purple. 46% of all hospital beds in cali used for covid. Just hate this state and their takes on anything. Governor is an asshole, gives guidelines for covid. He himself doesn't follow them, exposed by media and everything

Funny thing happened last week, I got covid.
It was kind of an interesting experience, as it was kind of different than getting sick from the norm like the cold.
It was different with how I had these muscle aches. They felt kind like a constant soreness in my legs. Those lasted for about 5 days.
It wasn't so bad, the worst was probably when the aches came at night so I couldn't sleep.
Overall, 6/10 would catch again.
Can't wait to tell my future cat about it.

Still sounds pretty rough, mate. I'm glad you're feeling better, I hope it doesn't happen again... >~<'

I'm actually pretty scared of getting COVID myself. My mom's slated to go back to work at the local school district, and she kinda lays at a crossroads of different indicators for bad outcomes - obesity, diabetes, you get the gist. I can't believe the psychopaths in this country - hell, my town - genuinely want this...

With the vaccine being out since december or so, I was wondering what everyone thinks about how long it Covid is over. My guess by over I'd say most restrictions are gone and life is mostly normal again. Just looking at the basic data, it seems like things are finally headed toward a downswing, so my guess is that by next fall, most things will be back to normal.

If all goes well, hopefully ^_^' There is still the risk that some mutation renders the vaccines ineffective, but perhaps enough will have caught it already or been vaccinated for that not to be a problem.

What a wild fever dream the past year was.
And probably continuing on for another while for this year too.

More working from home, more closed borders, can't even see family. I'm getting real tired of this shit, to avoid a complete 1 month lockdown we'll live in fear for 10 years.
