Sanders. It's high time you americans get a clue.

It's a little late for that though...

Not if the voters actually get a clue and register unaffiliated. I do not see how anyone would not, the electoral college has been a farce since the advent of widely available telecommunication systems

Voting for a third party/unaffiliated is pretty much worthless.

Ah, so that's why it's the shittiest Voting System in VickyII. Never even thought of it that way.

Yeah, GCPGrey has some good videos on FPTP, AV, and STV.

Could someone here perhaps give me a bit of a rundown of why Trump is so controversial? A lot of what I hear about him seems very appealing to the average person, in my opinion anyway. That being said, I don't actually hear that much about him - only when they mention him on BBC News or so.

It's because he's a showboating jackass with all flash and no substance.

See, that's what I see Hilary as as well...

Well, he's running as for president, which means he gets a lot of media attention. The media with Liberal bias doesn't like him because he's the Republican nominee. He often says things to provoke the media and the media then takes the bait and create more articles in their anti-trump smear-campaign.
He also has some controversial opinions such as wanting to ban muslim immigrants from entering the country, and being against gay marriage and abortion. He also wants to build a wall at the mexican border (to keep out illegal immigrants), whether they're for or against it doesn't make any difference because everyone is going crazy over it anyway. He even said Mexico will have to pay for it.

So yeah, having a lot of popular media outlets with Democratic bias + a Republican = controversy. Especially in God Emperor Trump's case.

Great answer, very informative. Keep it up and you'll be writing for Salon in no-time.

Hillary Clinton should be way more controversial because of many reasons, especially recently with the leaks going on. Donald just likes being the center of attention.

Say IP, I've been wonderin'. What's your stake in the race, anyway?

I don't even live in the USA but it's nice watching your fucked up little soap play out.
It probably would be better for me if Clinton won because she isn't as nationalistic as Trump but I don't give a shit about me because I'm not selfish. I think Trump would be better because he isn't as corrupt and downright threatening to the democratic system (for as far as we know). He just seems to be in it to satisfy his ego, which he obviously has a lot of (whether that's a good or a bad thing is up for you to decide).

So yeah, I'm in it for the lulz basically. Maybe to learn a few things along the way, I also just like politics in general so yeah. Can't wait to see the SJW's go on suicide watch when he wins.

As a brit, I'd also rather Trump win than Hilary - he seems less likely to want to fuck us up with a bunch of corrupt "trade" agreements.

Constantly shills for Trump on Lewd
Constantly gripes about SJWs even though no one takes them seriously anymore
Makes snide remarks at anyone who disagrees
"I don't even live in the USA"
mfw

Please go outside more.

Hey dude if you were going to insult me you might as well have told me instead of presenting yourself as a genuinely curious and likeable person at first and then replying like this.
I don't make snide remarks at anyone who disagrees, there are tons of people who got someone else than Trump that I didn't say anything about, so that's a flat out lie. If you think no-one gives a shit about SJW's anymore answer me these questions:

Why does Hillary Clinton keep playing the 'woman card'?

Why do Black Lives Matter protests keep making national news (even though supposedly no-one takes them seriously anymore)

I could go on for ages but I think I've made my point clear.

And that's just the USA, I have classmates and even teachers raving the long disproven gender wage gap bullshit and whatnot, even the shitty comedian on that one TV-show does it. Our fucking history teacher tried to tell us that Islam is actually very respecful to women (yes, even Iran).
This is just a way in which I can escape from all of the fucking bullshit in the world and if you can't respect that then you can fuck off.

Maybe it's that he's a gross liar without principles who says whatever suits him best according to the moment. Like wanting do do something for the low-income population when he has a continuous history of underpaying and maltreating his own employees.

Her too...but I know what I need to reckon with at least there...With the added benefit that her degree of douchiness is incomparable to Trump...Sam Harris put up a good vid on why you should vote for her over Trump even if you hate her.
I liked Sanders...

This is not how voting should work at all. The fact that the US even claims to have a democracy is laughable in my opinion.
