Lewd's Third Music Thread

Was watching this movie with my flatmate and remarked during an especially visually loaded scene "Wow, that's pretty over the top!" Two seconds later this song kicks in.

This one's quite up my alley as well, but I'm currently too hyped from S3RL ^_^'

You have to understand some Russian sentences in this set of lyrics from the remastered GTA:IV, or if you only got through the first few missions and still manage to tune in to Vladivostok on the original, which I still have it somehow on my console for years, that last original copy in my area before they ran out of stock. I translated this for you.

Yo, physical education hello, Liberty City!
Free city!
Meet the Russian guy.
Salute to all thieves bones!
We gonna own this motherfucking city!
Everything will be ours
Your Gesheft (Gesheft - Business),
Your cheeks
Your Geld (Geld - Money),
Your cars!
All! This is gop-stop your mother.
Motherfucker take off!
This is not just a game ...
It's not just a game, mother fucker!

Run until it's too late
Like a street dog.
You smell nose, red feathers
We sat on the tail.
According to the reports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
A particularly dangerous criminal.
The cellphone is responding
That the subscriber is not available.
Until you decide
You have to decide!
There is nothing more to do in Russia
I have to run!
Be careful right now
Do not beacon homies.
No faith in anyone
But maybe there is still a chance.
You sensed a trap
You knew the guys were packing.
Pack the monk brother
Not that they will pack you.
The cops went hunting
On the heels of coming!
They need luck so they don’t accept,
Both there and here.
You will meet tomorrow morning
Far from MKAD.
Run, you know stopudovo
What you need to bring down.
And there overseas
You will build a new life.
Came Russian Boy -
Uncle Sam, hold on!

There it is not here!
KozaNostra is not a sham
Ruble is not Hollywood!
LC is not Moscow!
Gene is not vodka, but
Marlborough is not a White Sea!
Everything will be clear
You just have to stay whole! (x2)

Free city
Under the free sky.
This city of bread ...
City of bread ...
They will know what you are ready for.
For a crispy dollar.
And why is the roulette of death
They call it "Russian."
Russian Boy is ready to play
For the "American Dream"!
Nemeren action, anyway
Nemeren extreme!
All this, plus specific risk,
And multiply
For special effects
To Siberian frosts on the skin.
Let someone do high-profile things
As quiet as possible ...
You will do what you must -
You have to survive!
And if brewed -
That will be cool porridge.
The whole city will be ours ...
It will be ours!
And will they love you
Or hate
You are a Russian guy
And you press the fingernail of Liberty City!
And there overseas
You will build a new life!
Came Russian Boy -
Uncle Sam, hold on!

There it is not here!
KozaNostra is not a sham
Ruble is not Hollywood!
LC is not Moscow!
Gene is not vodka, but
Marlborough is not a White Sea!
Everything will be clear
You just have to stay whole! (x4)

Ohh, I have some fond memories from that mod! Used to play it competetively a bit, back when it had just come out. Nice song too

I'm looking forward to the Higurashi remake.

Oh my stars, there's a remake comin' out? I never even got to read the originals!

Thanks for letting me know, Lawly-chan. I'm running way behind on my queue of visual novels, but I'm sure it's gonna be great. ^_^

Anyone who's heard the original will know and appreciate the insanity that must come with covering songs like this

This is really cool ^_^ The melody does feel somewhat familiar, but I'm not sure if I've heard the original before!

This song is a hit of nostalgia everytime I listen to it. Unsurprisingly, it was composed by Yoko Kanno, the godess of Anime OSTs.

Had a chance to see them live at a festival last year and jinxxed it because I was still hungover from the day before. T_T In my defense, they were the first band to play that day.
