What is/are your favourite anime?

Posts

I found it odd that this thread didn't already exist. But I think it'd be a good idea for everyone to share their favourite(s).

My favourite is Tokyo Ravens, I finished watching the series today and can honestly say that I've never felt more compelled to read the manga after watching an anime series than I do after watching Tokyo Ravens.

Tokyo Ravens managed to keep me on the edge of my seat during the entire series, and even managed to make me shed a tear or two a few times; something I've not really experienced from any other anime I've watched before. Thus it earns its place as my favourite. (plus bonus points for qt kon)

What is/are your favourite anime, and why?

Heh~ I'm pretty sure I've seen this before? Maybe not. Deja vu I guess.

ty for thread senpai

My all-time favorite anime series is a little-known of show called Betterman.  Not alot of people know about Betterman, it was not a successful show in Japan or in America.  Betterman is a science-fiction/horror/comedy/mecha/monster anime series from Sunrise that aired in 1999.  It has mecha and monster fights, many techno-babble long-winded scientific explanations, and it's got lots of hot girls too, and oh yeah, it has a pretty decent dub too, not great, but watchable at least.  It is probably the most unique and interesting anime series I've ever seen but really why I love it is because I first saw it when I was very young on late night TV and it just never left me.  My avatar is a character from the show, THE Betterman himself.

I'm not going to rank these, because there are times when I kind've get memories of the anime and they go from like number 3 to number 1 then after a few days back to number 3 but.... Tokyo Ghoul, Highschool DxD, Sword Art Online (unfortunately, yes). There's a lot more, but I'd rather not type for 8 hours.
Why Tokyo Ghoul: For Tokyo Ghoul, it was extremely emotional for me, more than it should've been. And it managed to "keep me on the edge of my seat" until the Anime finished and when it finished, it permanantly scarred me, for some weird ass reason.
Why Highschool DxD: It's a mix of fucking every single godamn good ass genre in the whole fucking universe of shitty Anime. Boobs, lolis, neko, nekololis, boobs, ass, fighting, Dragon Ball kinda' powerups (boosto boosto boosto boosto), boobs, boobs and boobs. The ecchi, is too damn high!
Why Sword Art Online: Do any of you really see the Slice of Life part of Sword Art Online? If not, watch it again and focus on the emotions of the characters, not just the plot itself and how it's a ripoff of every single MMORPG ever. I mainly liked it because it did have a pretty good Slice of Life feeling to it, even though it's not really considered one. But it definitely did have it's moments where it was bad. Mostly good, for me at least.

My favorites are Card Captor Sakura, Saint Seiya, Magic Knight Rayearth, Mazinger Z, Jigoku Sensei Nube, Hyakko and Tesujin 28 Go. Sadly I never found a good version of Tetsujin 28 Go (the 1980 version) in spanish or Nip.
I like the character development and I am not so picky with the genre.

Angel Beats is my #1 favortie >\<

The others I love though are Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note, Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, and Attack on Titan.

Steins;Gate, Ergo Proxy and Spice & Wolf.

Good stories, interesting characters and good character development. I'm not really the type who enjoys watching cute girls doing cute things unless it involves a great plot.
