Anyone into metal?

I like metal- I went to an Amon Amarth gig with Sabaton as the opener and I gotta say that was the most fun concert I've ever been to. Swedes are fucking crazy on stage.

@[deleted] Sabaton forever in my heart, their songs with history as the main topic are awesome.

As for me.

• Metallica
• Slayer
• Hunter (probably the only Polish band worth checking out)
• Black Sabbath
• Deep Purple
• Slipknot
• Iron Maiden
• Disturbed
• White Zombie

I like RATM, John 5 and the Foo Fighters if they count.
Kinda like Rammstein as well.

Sunn O))) - Flight of the Behemoth
they're a drone metal band though

Anyone into Ghost here? Some don't count them as metal, but to me it's just a throwback to oldschool metal, with fucking pristine choruses.

I'm into most sorts of metal though, to name a few of my favourites:

• Meshuggah

• Metallica

• Watain

• Parkway Drive

• Dissection

• Black Sabbath

I enjoyed their first album, but after that I started to not really like them.

Yeah, I could see why. Their first album was really good, first time I heard them was actually live, they played a free festival here and came on at midnight (in late August too, perfect time of year) as the last act of the festival (right before they got really big) and blew my mind. They are definitely better live, among the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen. But their new album is really good too in my opinion - unlike Infestissumam.

Ungh don't get me started.
To answer your answer shortly, yes I do.

Now let me go on forever in a spoiler box c:

Alright, I really had so many more that I wanted to put on here. Like for example, I didn't add Nekomimi Archive to the list under "Rib" because let's face it, the list went on forever already. But there are so many better songs I listen to. Those were just the ones I had on me at the time.

An example of thrash metal would be by S!N, Exclamation! That song, I replayed it for months when it first came out.
Exclamation!

Unfortunately, I don't really listen to English music. That doesn't mean that it isn't good though, I just prefer Japanese music instrumental wise. English rock and metal actually have a large difference if you were to compare it to Japanese rock and metal.

So that's my fangirl moment over.

if you checked out and liked any of that you can ask me anytime for recommendations, that's not even touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how much music i listen to

Some of my friends are pretty big fans of metal. I used to be a pretentious prude in terms of pretty much everything, but I've dabbled a bit with it lately and I find SOAD's music incredibly fun to sing with friends. I'd like to get further into it.

Still, I'm not knowledgeable about it.
