I never understood why some people get so obsessed over him. I don't hate him myself or anything but his music isn't my style.

He is indeed a pretty generic artist but he has contributed so much to the mainstream part of hip hop, just listen to his yeezus album.

Yeezy season approaching fuck whatever y'all  been hearin'

I like his older stuff and just a few of his newer stuff.

Which album(s)/song(s)?
Also, I still don't see why people prefer his older stuff, I mean it's pretty nice but his newer albums aren't that bad either. Oh well

As much as I like him due to the internet fawning over him, the main reason I like him is that's he's just a generally cool person. I think it's pretty funny how he tries keeping this "serious" persona in public, and avoids smiling if he can.

As far as celebrities go, he's one of the more down-to-earth types.

it's a shame that a lot of people see him as an asshole

I'd like to take this thread as an opportunity to introduce Kanyequest 3030.

I played it and God jammit I was hoping that it was a legit cult recruitment game but it turned out to be nothing ;7;

It was believable up to the point where you input data about yourself - at that point, I knew the dev added it in for laughs, but it was still pretty intricate regardless.

I for one would have welcomed in the cult of Yeezus.

College Dropout, Late Registration are my favorites. Graduation had a few tracks I liked such as: I Wonder, Barry Bonds, Drunk and Hot Girls, Flashing Lights and everything else after that. 808's was so so. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was real good. Didn't listen to Yeezus yet, but I like Black Skinhead. Oh, and Clique.

808s & heartbreak is getting so much hate for some reason. I quite liked it and it's also Kanye's most emotional album to this day.

not sure what to say about Yeezus except that it's p experimental and that it turned out to be schway
