Welp, much as I hate to admit it, it seems as if animeost.info has finally bit the dust. Damn shame, seeing as I donated over thirty bucks towards keeping it afloat.
Ah well, not everything lasts forever. Granted there's still a copy archived on the Wayback Machine (right here), but does anyone know any other sites that catalog/offer original soundtracks from anime? If they'd care to share, I'd be eternally grateful.
Also, anime OST appreciation thread.
All the Bleach OSTs give me shivers. Gahhhhhhh. All those songs take me wayyyy back.
Rinne no Lagrange has some nice tracks and a good opening by Rasmus Faber.
Although I personally get hype whenever I see that Taku Iwasaki is working as a composer.
Funnily enough, I find I'm typically most fond of OSTs from anime that i dislike.
fuck this anime
I found an exception to the rule
Its time
Welcome to the N.H.K OST
Samurai champloo OST
Tokyo tribe 2 OST
Cromartie High School OST

All of Initial D also
The Monogatari series has a lot of great songs
I remember the first time I heard this in the anime... To this day, I still collect my jaw from the floor every time I listen to it.
Backlash wroteI remember the first time I heard this in the anime... To this day, I still collect my jaw from the floor every time I listen to it.
Also, seeing as it won't let me post two at once... Relevant video:
Umineko's Sountrack has some great pieces in it.
It's bretty gud
Bôa - Duvet from Serial Experiments Lain:
Radiohead - Paranoid Android from Ergo Proxy:
If you like Bôa there are some Bonus Tracks on the Armitage OST featuring Jasmine Rodgers which are very schway in my opinion:
I'm also a fan of Yoko Kanno. For example hanna from the Zankyou no Terror OST:
I'm using cdjapan, youtube, nyaa and various private torrent trackers to get anime soundtracks.
White Album 2, Your Lie in April, and Clannad all have the best OST's I've heard.
Clannad, Shingeki no Kyojin, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and Zankyou no Terror probably gets my vote(s).
Log Horizon and Fairy Tail OST are by far my favorite. Yasuharu Takanashi is a god in my books. I'd post a Fairy Tail one, but PonyCanyon has decided to be thorn in my side and take down every FT video I had in my playlist. Fun.
One anime that really caught me off guard was Sands of Destruction (or World Destruction, in Japan.) The anime club started it on a whim back in the day (never played the game), and as soon as I'd watched the first episode I knew I was in for a epic adventure filled with action and strong emotion. But don't take my word for it; have a listen to the sweet main theme!
"A planet where the seas are filled with sand; A world where beasts live as men; A world where men are ruled by beasts"
As a main theme, it has several renditions, my favorite being this one. You can find the rest of the soundtrack on YouTube here.
Although it isn't the pumped up metal that I really enjoy from Fairy Tail, the sad and albeit slower songs are also very nice.
The entire monogatari series had a really fitting OST imo
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was supurb also
