I'm pretty sure that I made around 74-75 posts but apparently my profile says that I only made 71
POST COUNTER IS RIP
Posts
It says 73 now :o, I swear to God it wasn't #werking
It's because Poochy made #lounge posts not count towards your general post count.
So this is how you are racking up your post count, eh?

Oh

I'm not lying ;7;
It's a counter-flooding mechanism... that doesn't really seem to work all that well. Still. The posts made wherever in lounge, so ebola, forum games or main section, don't count. So yeah. Racking up those levels ain't that easy, but hey, the group's supposed to be a reward, no?

Good thing I got my shitposting in before the change

It doesn't matter, it affects all the posts. So all the post count you have made by posting in lounge beforehand has been removed as well.
post counter is rip in rip
Is there anywhere we can see the true number of posts we've made vs the number of posts that count towards our postcount?

Why isn't lounge posts counted towards post counters?

to encourage more posting in the other categories.

Except it's not really working. You need to offer positive incentives to post somewhere, not negative incentives to not post somewhere.

It's working pretty well actually, paired with the not showing lounge posts on the board index; we've seen an increase in on-topic discussion.

Ok, but can you actually attribute that to killing the post count as opposed to advertising and other means of increasing activity?
I agree with @[deleted]'s point. Just saying that you shouldn't assume it's the post counter change that brought on the on-topic discussion.

Unsure how increasing activity has anything to do with the quality of the discussions.

it is. paired with the hiding the lounge boards from the index.
