Speedrun related Stuff

Thought it would be nice to have a Thread where people that are into it can talk about their favorite runs/runners and games they'd like to run. And for those people that are not maybe to get into it. So let me start:

I really like the old Wind Waker any%, sadly almost nobody is running that anymore since the WiiU remake came out.
Dishonored any% is fun to watch as well, as is Shadow of Mordor any% and Mirror's Edge any%. I don't like that many 100% runs, but if I had to name one it would be Chrono Trigger 100%.
I tried to get into Mirror's Edge myself, but my PC sucks to much to actually get good at kick-glitching. Other Games I'd love to run would be Dishonored, but I only have the console version, and Stuff like Elevator-glitch doesn't work all that good on there.

For anyone interested, the next Awesome Games Done Quick (a marathon of games that donates to a wide variety of charities) will run January 3-10, 2016.

Shenanagans and GameJ06 are by far my favorite speedrunners.
I tried Mirror's Edge any% but I suck at executing the glitch so I just let it go, hehe. Right now trying to get the grasp of vertical zipping in Wario Land 4 to try and speedrun that. It will take a bit before I'm able to go under an hour, tho.

So far it looks like there are going to be some great games again at AGDQ. SOMA, AoE1 and Battle Block Theater might happen.

And I will prolly end up going back to Mirror's Edge once I manage to finish my new Computer. Still have most of the routes in my head, but I really need to grind out Boat Skip and most of the kick-glitches. Maybe I will get into Half-Life 2 any% as well. Looks super fun with all surfing, but it's easy to tell how grindy it is to get even decent at it. But every Speedrun takes forever to get decent at.

Neat. I know most of the Sourceruns, so Matmo is a known name to me.
The good thing about being only into Source runs is that grinding not only gets you better at that one game but also at the others as well, at least when it comes to grinding movement strats.

Really enjoyed OoT any% when Cosmo was going for like sub 8:10 or whatever it was. Loved SMS too and didn't mind Luigi's mansion any% or 100%. However I used to watch so many runs. I usually watched most of AGDQ or SGDQ front to back or as much as was possible. I'm generally not a fan of runs of really old games, I prefer more 3D stuff as the engines allowed for much more fuckery and I enjoyed glitch heavy runs for sure over highly optomised ones with some exceptions. I think ZFG is my fav runner to watch at the mo.
