Anime(s) that deserve a remake/second chance?

A remake is not a second season.

What I mean by remake is starting over the same project with major/moderate changes.
Like for example, if an anime starts incredibly good but becomes dull as hell later, or if the anime is adapted very poorly. Or even remaking an anime with bad art into one with a good art with the same story, etc.

I think Pandora Hearts and Tsukihime deserve a complete remake.
Tsukihime's visual novel is good as hell, yet the studio ruined the entire story. Animating such a long visual novel in a only 12 episodes could be considered a challenge, but Tsukihime anime adaptation just mocks every Tsukihime visual novel fan. "Yeah? You want your favorite VN to be animated? Okay, take this! Its an anime that's almost nothing like Tsukihime. AND WE EVEN PUT AN AMUSEMENT PARK FILLER EVEN THOUGH WE'RE SHORT ON EPISODES."

Mostly because of this, there's a popular quote among Tsukihime fans-- "There is no Tsukihime Anime."
There needs a goddamn remake of this masterpiece. I'm pretty sure there would be lots of fans if it is animated properly with that epic storyline.
Pandora Hearts is an another anime with similar condition. The manga is too amazing with all the suspense and action, but the anime just wrecks it.

The main reason I mentioned Tsukihime is not because of the pointless filler that they added. I was angry at that, but it was mostly because of the change in story. Had they had added the filler while keeping the story the same, I would have never complained about it.

I take that the many shows you are talking about have a great story that you enjoy (if original) or it is portrayed just the way it is in its source-material? Removing fillers hardly counts as a major change since if you skip them, an anime still could be masterpiece. What I'm looking for is something specific XD.

A second season of Death Note? Seriously? What more do you want from the series? It had an appropriate ending. Stretching an anime long is pointless, in my opinion.

Well, for Machine-Doll they are probably waiting for the light novel to proceed. Same case with HxH, but it'll probably take some time since the author goes on hiatus on almost a...monthly basis qwq. Its also called Hiatus X Hiatus because of that, lol. Kinda funny.

Shirayuki, Oyasumi Punpun, Bartender... so much to watch qwq.

I'm afraid that you wouldn't get Another season 2 even if you paid. The novel itself is complete and the anime adapts all of it, so there's no source-material for the anime. If you want to experience the same ride and are a fan of reading, you could check out the author's (Yukito) some other works. Not sure how many of them are translated though.
