hello there......
Heyo.
I speak English and my mother tongue is Spanish, and I've been learning Japanese since May 2013.
単語が少なくて話し方上手ではないが、発音はよくてなんとなく聞くでわかる。
Hello everyone, my name is Inkjet Printer and my native language is Dutch but I also speak English (like most people in the Netherlands) due to playing a lot of video games and watching movies with subtitles.
I'm also learning Japanese but I still suck.
Lol I don't know what the thread title means but I think it's an introduction thread. Looking at you @[deleted]
Hey people
My native tongue is Austrian High German, I can't really speak dialect. I've been learning English since young, but what really kicked off my becoming more and more proficient was making it my main reading language - which has often made me think that the best way to build foundations in new languages is simply reading and looking up vocab as you go - the best thing about it is that you get a good feeling of syntax in many different contexts - this point is lacking in textbooks, I often find.
I can read a bit of Spanish (Can't really speak it anymore), speak a bit of Japanese and understand everyday conversation in both - I've been very lazy with Kanji, so I am now waiting for the Japs to abandon their language elitism and switch to kana or romaji completely. (Beside my obvious sloth I think that would do wonders for the mental health and equality between people of diff backgrounds in JP)
I speak middle German decently, and can read old German^^
right...I also took a course in Italian last semester ;-)
Ok so I studied some more Japanese and apparently this isn't an introduction thread. I can speak Dutch, English and a little bit of Japanese. I leveled up in februari when I started studying the language for real.
