I've never been with someone I really liked, so I'm on a break now until I can work up my courage to invest myself in another person again.
Kinda hard, in my experience I fall for most at least okay looking people I am around 1 year for, but not before that. By then I'm a distant friend.

So, my mom had been setting me on dates with girls i used to hate (ex-classmates, her friend's daughters, etc.) and i hate it. So i started to skip these by telling my mom about going to see what's up with the restaurant i'm opening later in October/November, while just goofing off to somewhere else. The thing is that someday we just went to see a fryer and after that we went to a nearby bar to have a beer... and my mom just passes by.

Back at home she gave me this 2 hours long rant about how i should respect women and shit, and asked me stuff like "Are you gay?", "Are you aware that one of these fine girls are willing to date you?" or "I want grandsons, dammit!". I carefully told her that i'm having two major projects that i'm working on and how i hadn't time to date like a regular person. She told me "You ain't doing shit until you have a wife and kids, you ain't spendin' shit because u need that money and you need another 9 to 5 job and wife and kids and a car" and i just can't stand it anymore, dude!

My mom always goes on about how one day a girl will catch my eye. Never pressures me into dates or anything. As someone who literally has zero interest in dating, or forming a relationship that sounds like a literal nightmare.

Pretty sure my parents assume I'm far more capable in the relationship department than I really am. The only girl I've ever had the confidence to ask out was also an anime fan - which makes sense, I suppose. Trouble is she lived in Spain and was on Erasmus, so yeah...

I'm from Chile, but my mom married really young, like 21 or something. It believes that if i remain single until 25 i'll be single for life.
