Hi

My name is Marcin, 24yo and I came here in search of awesome community.

I like watching animation. A lot of what I watch is anime of course, but I also love stuff like South Park, Rick and Morty, Gravity Falls and many others.

I'm also interested in programming and technology, especially stuff like open-source.

Oh, and English isn't my native language, so if you notice some errors in how I write, please point it out. I can improve my language skills that way.

Welcome to Lewd metod! I hope you enjoy your stay here!~

Hi Marcin, welcome to Lewd!

Your English level seems pretty good from what you've written so far. The only part I would change is this:

>notice some errors in how I write, please point it out.
to something like this:
>notice any errors in what I write, please point them out.
What you wrote was understandable, but it doesn't make much sense to talk about many things and then end with an "it", which is singular.

Thanks!

BTW I'm bit impressed how polished and advanced this forum is.

Welcome to lewd Marcin.
You seem to write clear enough for me to understand what you say ^-^

Writing clear isn't really the problem. I believe my English is actually quite good. What is the problem is, I tend to make stupid mistakes and because it's not my native language it's sometimes hard to notice them.

Hello Metod, welcome. May I ask what country you're originally from?
Poland.

Who doesn't like polandball?

Hi @[deleted], I'm sure you'll get along just fine here. Many people here are also interested in technology, and open source.

Sup, welcome to Lewd. Hope you enjoy it right here. If ya need anything, feel free to join the Discord!

Heyo, welcome to lewd.

I'd say I'm I pretty big grammar nut, so I can let you know if anything is off in what you write. I'll try to keepit to a reasonable degree, though, and I'll say it through PMs if I don't forget.

What coding languages do you speak? And while we're at it, what languages do you speak?

@everybody
Thanks and hello.

If I were to write something right now, I would probably choose c++ with qt (if gui or working on images were needed). My next choice would be java.
And since I worked as web developer for a year I'm quite good with css, js and php.

I used to write in c for collage, but now I'm too lazy for that.

Oh, and I recently learned bit of bash for my own use.

Human languages: Polish and English. I used to learn German, but now I forgot almost everything. I'm thinking about going back to it via duolingo and German media, but right now I can't find time for that.
I can also speak Japanese a bit, but not good enough to even watch unsubbed anime.

All of those languages seen to be imperitive/oo, if you want an alternative view, I would reccomend picking up a functional langauge such as Haskell or lisp. Here is a good guide on haskell that I'm working through now.
