I agree, I have it on every album I've downloaded thus far. However, I do think it's a subjective thing and not everyone is going to want it, so I kept it off this time. TBH I downloaded that Reol album you posted and it was nice not having to apply ReplayGain to it.

Well, those that don't want RG can just disable it >.>
The worst is when downloading a torrent with no RG - gotta make a completelately seperate copy in order to be able to seed and apply RG.

It was freeleech so I just redownloaded it. No biggie. But, man that does suck, why can't everything have ReplayGain from the git-go.

I think I've occasionally downloaded music from Bandcamp that already had RG. But yeah, it's pretty much down to whoever encodes the files.

Personally I'd leave replaygain off, and let people apply it manually. Replaygain has different loudness levels and algorithms, it's not as simple as "apply replaygain", there's some subjective configuration. So it's better to just leave it off and apply yourself.

There is a way to save this kind of metadata to a database instead of directly to the file in foobar2000, but I don't know if it also applies to replaygain.
