The Pitcher - Lost and Found [2026.06.11] [Album] [WEB FLAC]

Now, the music I found... So you'll recall yesterday I said that producers don't tend to make albums anymore. Well, some do, so I thought I'd check out what's cooking on hardstyle.com, and came across The Pitcher's Lost and Found, which came out just over a month ago. I had known him for his older tracks, like Serenity and Savor Time. I can't say I had put much thought into his music before, but I always enjoyed it (I missed Power Hour at Defqon.1 to see his set) and thought he was pretty underrated. Relistening to these old tracks, I realise that he had been quite good at the sort of style I like - generally quite melodic and emotional melodies, but with a powerful kick to keep the energy going.

I had kinda turned off hardstyle around 2018-2019, as I felt it had gotten a bit too much... uptempo, fake drops, etc., so I wasn't really all that optimistic about his latest album. However, up until I lost interest in the mainstream, I generally liked where the meta was going. Around 2013-2017, hardstyle was in a bit of a poppy rut. It felt like many of the big tracks coming out were rather safe, a bit too big-room-influenced. But towards the end, things started picking up again - producers like MYST, Keltek, and Phuture Noize were coming out with something new, combining the rough energy of rawstyle, with the emotion of hardstyle. So I was really pleasantly surprised to hear that Lost and Found feels almost like a direct continuation of that era. Songs that feel like hardstyle should - euphoric melodies and cheesy vocals with a kick that punches you in the face like you killed its dog, such as Long Lost Friend (feat. Sam LeMay) And, most importantly, he isn't afraid to pitch the kick tail to stupid octaves, which just makes any hardstyle track better imo. Only downside is that good headphones or a sub are needed to get the full experience. Wild Zone felt absolutely criminal in the best way possible.
