Several suggestions

Posts

These are either my suggestions or suggestions I agree with.
Feel free to post other suggestions and i'll add them to this thread to the staff/admins can take a look at it.

  1. Warnings
I feel like staff should warn members before taking proper action. Once or twice is enough. After that, do whatever you have to do. I've been kicked without being warned whatsoever, and i've seen others get muted without a warning. I don't think this is exactly fair to the members.

  2. Communication I guess?

There are more cases like this, but i'll just use my case as an example. I won't be giving out names as I don't think that's necessary. We were talking in the lounge, and a certain staff member was talking with another member about a game. I told the staff member that discussion should go to gaming and they proceeded to kick me. After confronting them about it, they came up with excuses, bringing up past cases and the like to get out of it, after which they removed me. That was the end of the case.

I feel like if there's an argument with one of the staff members, the admin or another staff member should join in and take a look at what's going on and say who's wrong, be it the staff or the member.

  1. The @everyone tag

Not sure about this one, but EVERY time I see the tag being used, people get upset and mad. Has happened to me aswell. I don't know what you could do about this suggestion, but it's just one of those small things.

Feel free to post more suggestions and/or discuss the ones I posted.

Regarding #1.
If said member has been warned about the action and told he'll be punished next time he proceeds with the same action, I don't know what is a warning if that isn't. How many times must a teacher repeat to the student to not talk in class before punishing him, if the student doesn't understand he should listen to his warning?

To clarify #2.

Which one of the above is more #gaming-related? Meowie = the voice of reason. If you don't understand your mistake/overlook there, stop bringing it up.

#3.
I don't see why people get so mad about its usage; if they're using the discord, present on our server, they should be willing to talk, else they wouldn't really sit there. Using @ everyone to try and start a proper conversation is not a bad thing, especially if, proven you don't like it or don't want to participate for whatever reason, you can just disable it under notification settings by clicking the server name.

You didn't warn me about my message, nor was the reason you kicked me the message. The whole thing:

I won't even say anything about it, I'll just let other members speak their opinion.

As for @everyone, you can't disable the tag specifically. You have to disable all notifications.

EDIT: Ignore that above, you actually can, shit.

EDIT3: It won't suppress it on mobile, which is exactly where people hate it the most.

I agree with them all, except I'm sure warning are already given out. Maybe a PM instead of just a quick "stop" in public lounge.

imo nana's post is on point. i somewhat agree that you getting kicked was a little too harsh (but i can also understand why nana did it), but the way you've carried on since is far from mature.

a quick "stop" in the lounge reminds everyone reading the lounge of the rules they should already know.

Would you give me an example of something immature that i've done?

Please guys, lets keep this to a S̼̬̟͉̫̼̟̦̄͆͐ͣ̃̄̓̚Ȗ̳͍͙̤̗̹̪͖̘̊͐͂ͭͩͮ̆G̢̺̙͓͉̭̦͋̒͊͌͢G̓̇͒̎͆̚̚͏̼͝E͉͉͒ͮͦ͒̏ͯ͂̀S͌̎̊ͤ̋̐͆͘͏̳͖̣̺̲̠T͌̈̌ͬ̅ͅI̯̯̺ͮ̌̽́͜͠O̵̵͉ͪͭͫ͑͊ͧ̓̌́N̖̙̍͋̓ͤ̕͟ post.

perhaps the continued provocation?

I'm not provoking anyone, what are you on about?

don't even pretend to not know what i'm talking about. i'd go back and take screenshots of you trying to stir shit, but i really don't care enough to scroll through a couple thousand messages.

idk, perhaps someone that was actually present at the time could vouch for me, maybe "stfu meowie" would ring a bell?

I agree with the @eveyone thing, it can become quite annoying to think you have been asked something to scroll up for 5 minutes and meet a @everyone.

Before your "stfu"
I don't see what's the problem there?
Also, I don't really appreciate you telling me to shut the fuck up, it's not very polite.

implying "they're scared to talk" isn't a dig at anything

I don't understand what you mean by that.
And i'd say enough is enough. Let's get back to the suggestions.
