One guy I love to watch constantly is an0nymooose . An SFM animator who makes completely random animations with a good unique style.

Sometimes they are also nightmare fuel...

That video is pure gold

I had around a couple dozen subscriptions a few years back, mostly gaming stuff, but these days it's pretty much dwindled down to just Red Letter Media. Best of the Worst is a godsend.

Lazy Game Reviews is a good Youtube channel. Has the perfect mix of modern and vintage stuff, plus Clint seems like a chill guy.

After kinda forgetting that he even existed for awhile I've revisited ProtonJonSA, mostly because I was told that he was still releasing new episodes of his Superman 64 Let's Play. At the rate he's at now he might actually finish before 2020. It's also been literal ages since I've viewed any of his classic content so this'll be a nice refresher.

Recently I stumbled upon a rather small channel by the name of Fredrik Knudsen. He makes a series called Down the Rabbit Hole where he provides in-depth overviews of certain topics. What is covered by him includes more widely known subjects such as DarksydePhil and Chris-chan but also more obscure oddities like Empress Theresa. The videos are well put together and fairly informative. I learned a lot about Star Citizen from his video on it and it changed my overall outlook toward the game.

Man, whatever happened to the last generation of LPers? The ones who put out ten-minute segments just for fun. Nowadays it might seem like YT's gotten stale, but that's just 'cuz large for-profit channels (or groups of channels) totally eclipsed them.

That's not to say they're gone, though! One of my favorite old-school LPers, Frankomatic, still regularly puts out videos, as does NakaTeeli and Raocow. If you're interested in super-chill commentary over obscure old games, I'd totes check him out. :3

ashens - If you like deadpan reviews of poorly made action figures, classic games, loot boxes, and poundland stuff, he's your guy.
bigclivedotcom - Takes apart electronics, usually cheap chinese ones, explains how they work, and what's wrong with them. Occasionally blows stuff up.

In retrospective, LPs becoming what they are widely perceived as now was pretty inevitable once LPs transitioned from Something Awful to YouTube. Something I hadn't really realized till

Summoning Salt's World Record Progression series has quickly become a favorite of mine. In each video he gives a summary of the history surrounding speed runs of certain games and how they evolved over time, with the exception of the video on Donkey Kong. They're presented in a very competitive like narrative that feels a bit like watching a sports documentary which will keep you engaged in what's going on even if you don't care that much about speed running in general or the game that is being talked about.

wow that's a lot of work put into your list. Nice job.

I recently found this channel, I'm suprised it has such low amount of views. You'd probably really like Nerdwriter1 and KaptainKristian the latter being one of my favorite.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to an old YouTube series called Marble Hornets. You get an idea of what it's about prety quickly but it's still been fun to watch. It was finished almost four years ago so it can be safely marathoned without having to worry about updates.

Ah, this was the glory days of /x/ and creepypasta before the preteens memed them into oblivion.

The imitation ARG Tribe Twelve was my personal favorite. The acting in it was a little hammy which might make it more difficult to suspend disbelief for some, but it made it a lot less boring, I think (not that Marble Hornets was boring, this one was just easier to throw on and keep watching):

It never got wrapped up as neatly as Marble Hornets, but at its best I liked it a lot more.

I just watched Ahoy's epic documentary on Polybius. Gonna check out the one on Monkey Island next. This guy puts out some seriously high quality content.
