I just watched Ahoy's epic documentary on Polybius. Gonna check out the one on Monkey Island next. This guy puts out some seriously high quality content.

Haah, I was wondering when someone I knew would find Ahoy. Every time he uploads, I find myself enraptured from start to finish.

My favorite video of his would have to be AK-47., if only for the poetry of his final line. Don't read till you've watched it to the end.

"With its widespread use, the weapon can be counted alongside the most basic of tools. -- The hammer; the sickle; the AK-47."

Kenny Lauderdale's a cool guy. His content is basically /vr/ but for anime which feels a niche that I'd badly wanted filled. He mostly does short shitpost like clips but occasionally does longer form videos that I find to be pretty interesting. His videos on Nora are his most well known but this is what I consider to be his best video.

I am absolutely enamored with kiwami japan, who uploads videos of cleaning knives or creating them out of non-metal materials and testing them. I know absolutely nothing about the person behind it but its just a fascinating channel.

Nexpo/Nightmare Expo, Nightmare Masterclass, Scare Theatre and Reignbot are p good for spooky things of various kinds.

And Super Eyepatch Wolf is a wonderful anime reviewer and has done two really great videos on Pro Wrestling.

If you haven't seen any of Geno Samuel's Chris Chan: A Comprehensive History I'd highly recommend checking it out. As the name would suggest it is a very detailed summary of CWC's life up to the present. And I do mean very detailed. There are currently 25 parts out, each clocking in at around 40 minutes, and he's still only just reached 2010. The level of quality in it is also on par with a professional documentary so even if you aren't interested in the CWC lore I would still recommend it as background noise because of how well made it is. Currently on a monthly release schedule so if you marathon and get caught up be aware of content drought.

You bet I keep up with the CWC docus. I'm really fascinated especially by the earlier life bits so I've re-watched those a few times. "Plautistic. A plant that's autistic" is one of the earliest OC cwc pokemon cards and it legitimately puts a smile on my face every single time.

I can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy, ya know? I feel he coulda turned out a lot better if he had better parents, but it is what it is.

Same, I like rewatching the earlier years and Plautistic slays me every time. I don't think I've been hit harder by anything yet than the story of Bob's Dream Workshop. Like, fuck, that really hurt to hear.

Barb really is the worst. Even though it says a lot about Bob that he even tolerated Barb's behavior I still think Chris would be significantly better off than he is now if Barb hadn't been involved with his upbringing. It's not a coincidence that he really went off the deep end after Bob died.

Yeah the Dream Workshop man. It makes me think a lot about what could have been in a different world sometimes. And yeah Barb was/is probably the worst of her two parents. Bob's other kids seemingly turned out alright all things considered but Barb was involved in raising Chris and wasn't good to Cole Smithey at all either. Cole's emails with Chris among other posts he's made show that he and Barb really failed to get along due mostly to how she is.

Most people are content to gawk and move on with their lives, but it really is morbid what circumstances Chris finds herself in. Trapped with a decaying, mentally-ill mother all his life, no education, no job experience, hell, not even an unbiased picture of the real world thanks to her autism. It's true, she's done some incredibly stupid things, but I can't help but see shades of her mother in how she reacts to criticism. I really don't want CWC's last days to be a series of vlogs showcasing her failing health... ;~;

As an aside, you're the first person I've seen use her preferred pronouns. I'm not sure why I didn't before, but I will now. v_v
