Yu-Gi-Oh!

I've got a dusty Inzektor deck IRL

yu-gi-oh was my shit when i was a kid but i never got to play it often
i had that little hand-held deck too

I play online using YGOPro Percy, and I also play irl. Online I use far, far too many decks, mostly dumb concepts that shouldn't work but do. Irl I play Ghostricks, DracoPals, and Lightsworn.

I used to like it, but then they started adding broken shit like XYZ, pendulum cards put me off forever.

I used to run Six Samurai, but then they ruined my deck with bans.

I mean, Gateway at 3 was pretty broken in itself. cough

Gateway at 3 made the deck, it's useless with it limited; they should've limited something like Kizan, which is basically the card that helps make Gateway broken.

i remember like nothing about yu-gi-oh because i was a little shit back then

No, the problem was that Gateway enabled a lot of stupid loops. There's a bunch of them, but predominantly they focus on forcing the opponent to discard their entire hand by recycling your graveyard Sams. Some revolve around Kizan, but I recall there being one to do with Mizuho, too. And it'd be even more cancerous nowadays. You could entirely lock your opponent down with relative ease using the extra deck.

Maybe it could come back at one, but three would be far too much. Plus they wanna sell their new cards, so giving too much support to an old archetype wouldn't help them.

Even with the nerds to the pal engine it's still consistent. I'm curious if they'll get hit even more.

@senpai
The new mechanics aren't bad, as a matter of fact it allows decks more outs.
Also pendulums aren't broke as it's a -2. Only deck that can actually plus off it is PePe and it receive an emergency ban.
Also the ban list is essential to prevent the game from getting stale.

Anyways who's hyped for Shining Victory?
All that Blue-Eyes support and deskbots are going to get better consistency.

I'm still in the process of making it top class sadly, after the emergency list I stopped playing for a while, so it still has some banned/limited cards going on. Need to replace them. I have a Master of Pendulum structure deck coming in the mail so that should help somewhat.

I also need to get my hands on a Raigeki, but holy shit they're pricey. So at this point it's Dark Hole all the way.

Played as a kid, got back into it when I got to college. For the time up until then I basically stuck to games, but when I got to college and got a revenue of sorts, I started to get into IRL play. I've stopped since and am basically just waiting for them to reveal the 3DS title that's apparently coming out in hopes that it's better than the super sub-par Duel Carnival.

As for the show, watched the entirety of Zexal last year and it's since become my fave, though I grew up on the original and GX. Only one I haven't watched a fair amount (barring Arc-V) is 5Ds, if only because of...um...I don't really know. The designs, maybe? I guess the probable thing is that since I'm not into Synchros (Synchro What?) I'm probably not going to have the motivation to watch the show from cover to cover. And I also worry that Yusei is edge-master slice, but that remains to be seen.

But yeh, I like Yu-Gi-Oh!
