nightcore levan polka 😛 Sure, can't stand german/austrian folk, and probably most folk everywhere

There's many songs from different genres I like alot...I guess I could split it up? For content - Mittelaltermusik (Dulamans Vröudenton, Ougenweide[kinda new agey?])
For orderliness and good days - Classic (Wagenseil anyone? Ravel?)
For all times - doujin music, rock and metal (mostly power, folk, progressive)
Also, Jazz and Swing?

These are my favourite genres ^^

I strongly dislike club music, techno and such (exceptions in doujin/ animusic exist)

That's sweet man but I just wanna find some fine polka tunes. Dude nice that you like swing, I own this album by Frank Sinatra, it's Live at Budokan. Pretty cool imo but no-one likes dandy shit like that anymore.

>levan polka
>nightcore levan polka

not even korpiklaani's version smh

I don't really care about Folk Metal other than the song that goes "AYAYAYAYA" because of some stupid meme.

This one?

I like electronic music. Since i like to sound design, im usually dabbling into more hardstyle, mainstream hardcore and complextro, or even hi-tech full on. Also i've been dabbling into A E S T H E T I C genres like Future Funk or Synthwave/Vaporwave.

Cringe? That's new. Why so?

Maybe we're talking about different types of Electronic music but the melodies sound borderline retarded to me, the vocals and lyrics are amazingly dumb most of the time, especially when the vocals are pitch shifted. Rises bore the shit out of me and are unimaginative to say the least.

I used to casually dislike Electronic music but then I got put in the same class as this hardstyle producer (the worst kind of electronic music). He'd put his hardstyle crap on full blast during wherever he could, even in public. I absolutely loathe hardstyle because every song has the exact same tempo, the vocals are always horrible, the songs are structured in the same way, and it's just cringey as fuck.

Maybe if you could give me an example of an electronic song I could give you an in-depth explanation of why I think it sucks.

Im sorry you've been introduced to hardstyle THAT way. We all know this a-hole who loves to show and shove his music (and shitty demos) down people's throats. Tell me about it, i'm currently studiying sound engineering so that's everyday life to me. I suggest you pick more stuff on the instrumental kind of or J-Hardstyle. better lyrics and just better overall sound.

Well obviously J-Hardstyle and instrumental Hardstyle have better lyrics. The former can't be understood and the latter doesn't have any. I dislike the sound of it. But I'm willing to give it another shot. What would you recommend?

I like ａｅｓｔｈｅｔｉｃ genres as well. I really like Hologram Plaza by Disconscious since it helps me calm down. Macintosh plus has like 5 good songs and I like BAE by Yung Bae.

I recommend listening to Massive New Krew, USAO and Srezcat, they have good stuff. Noriken also releases hardstyle but scarcely.
I like Saint Pepsi.

Hey I've heard like one song by that DJ Noriken guy. Pretty good.

I've downloaded Hit Vibes but I haven't listened to it yet. Bae City Rollaz is my favorite Future Funk Song right now.

Look at my other post.

4 days later

I don't have one single favorite, but I'll list some of the main subgenres I've listened to over the years in each major music genre I'm aware of.

In rock, it would be post-rock and math rock, some shoegaze, space rock, and dreampop.
In metal, black metal, blackened death metal, prog metal, technical death metal, avant metal.
In hip-hop, jazz-hop, noise-hop, abstract hip-hop, experimental hip-hop.
In jazz, darkjazz, avant/free jazz, jazzcore, bebop, hard bop, swing.
In electronic, glitch, electronic body music, minimal house, breakcore/nightcore, breakbeat, j-core, darkstep, downtempo, nu-jazz, electro-swing, dark ambient, noise.

I like doom metal, sludge and black metal the most.

I also really like some post rock and shoegaze.
