I really shouldn't risk playing eroge while my mother is around the house.

Might I recommend a lock for your door? ^_^

Don't play mom route!

Oh please, we all know the oldest gal always has the best route. Been that way ever since Bible Black. :3

Throw a barricade in front of it for good measure

Legends say this fortification can ward off all but the smartest of succubi.

Man, I need to start going to bed at a reasonable hour. I feel a thousand percent better once I've paid off my sleep-debt.

Problem is, I'm so excited every day that I can't even get to bed till one. >_<

Been watching a lot of Chinese kungfu/swordfighting movies lately.

This might sound weird, but, sometimes I feel as if I need to stop living in the real world. It wasn't long ago that I used to transport myself to exotic worlds through books and anime, and those ventures in turn made real life's eccentricities all the sweeter. But without exercising my creativity for a while, all the world's become a mindless series of inputs and outputs to accrue money, keep a job, and worry incessantly about my loved ones. The days all seem to blend into one another, and though I still do the daily good deed or stumble across the occasional oddity, I lack words to properly appreciate it.

Obviously, this cannot stand. The people I make acquaintance with wouldn't be satisfied with this, so I doubt they'd be happy to see their friends in such a state either. Perhaps I'll bring a book along to work tomorrow. Assuming the man in the cubicle across from me isn't there, I'll have ample time to read the second chapter of Sherlock Holmes.

Not sure if watching Insomnia tired with a headache was immersive or immersion breaking.

Which ones?

Watching Haganai right now (about fucking time, given the banner for this site, and the fact that I have a nun fetish), so whenever I start to watch a new moe series with a bunch of cute girls, it's so good that it hurts. The tenderness of an aesthete's gaze overflows from within me.

Do yourself a favor and rewatch it in English sometime. The VAs did an absolutely stellar job, sprinkling in proper English slang and even sneaking in a few extra jokes of their own. Yozora and Sena's voices in particular are exactly what I'd expect from two bitchy, abrasive, socially-awkward-yet-somehow-well-spoken girls of their age.

I'd reckon we can all agree on who's Best Girl though.

Protip: It ain't the blondie. :3

Whatever is interesting enough on streaming services. I have low standards so anything ridiculous with action is good enough for me.
I'm a fan of Jackie Chan's in particular. I've always loved the blending of his fighting and comedy, especially in his native Chinese films.
Probably cause of the films being Chinese but a lot seem to focus on Wing Chun. And swords.

I too need to read more books, however after years of sitting in front of screens all day, it's a hard habbit to break.

I did decide to change my avatar though, I changed it elsewhere for nostalgia reasons (I used to use this avatar a long time ago in 2014), and I thought i'd make it match!

I'm flying to Siberia next week and the awesome winter sleeping bag I've ordered hasn't shipped yet. I'm worried.

Russia nowadays is trying to be the perfect nation on the outside but on the inside it doesn't have the same freedoms and privileges there, so be careful when going there.

In the states and provinces, you can do almost everything you always wanted, but in Russia, or any authoritarian country you had better comply with their State or you get the boot (or worse).

-snip-

Yes, it is the blond Violet Evergarden from Top 3 Winter Waifus of 2018. I'll never agree on Yozora. ;3 Otherwise, every single anime girl is unique in itself, there's millions of qts out there.

If you want to watch some really great humorous action movies, I highly highly recommend Jackie Chan's early collaborator Sammo Hung (you might have watched some already). His movie Wheels on Meals is a perfect one to start with since it stars him and Jackie, but you can't go wrong with anything he directed and starred in!

I, too, mostly have watched the real kung fu ones though. I would like to get more into swordfighting and classic wuxia. I've had this downloaded for a while but no real time to watch it because of how long it is 🙁

You can save your stuff in your browser settings like I do in Chrome, so you don't have to fret over doing all of the tedious memorization on every "going in" attempt other than hitting the Sign In button once and hit Login. In case you don't, your browser will notify you somewhere on your screen if you want to save it. Thanks to the "auto-suggestion by what you type" feature, it will recognize your name, too.
