Oh dear, is everything okie?

Yup. Just thought about the past like 7 years of my life and I noticed a trend. It's not like I'm harming anyone or being mean with my actions, they're harmless but the end result is always advantageous in my favor or I get rewarded in some way for them.

Maybe that's just because you're actually a good person, and therefore others are more likely to give something in return?

Maybe. I'm not a psychiatrist or therapist so perhaps that is it, but a lot of it feels like I knew how things would work out if I just did X and Y. And that feels manipulative to me, but maybe I'm wrong? idk.

Sounds less like manipulation and more like intuition

Yeah, I'd be more inclined to call it manipulation if it involved giving yourself an unfair advantage at the other person's expense.

In order for me to get access to this place from now on, I have to dig through one of our earlier posts' images when typing this site's name as there's no more direct linking to the home page anymore or simply typing a particular active thread I want to visit. It is not the end of me here yet, just a nuisance.

Anyways, I made a clean restart of my reinstalled San Andreas and beat it 100% again with a slightly improved time of 21 hrs, 56 mins. This is by far my very best final run because I didn't die or get busted, even kept the minigun stolen from Area 69 all the way to the end and used it against Big Smoke. I got to around 4 million dollars at the game's end and saved it, with the in-game clock at 22:00. The internal date reads as May 3, 1992 on a Sunday, but the game ended the day prior. With perfect timing of the final mission being April 30/May 1, I felt like I made Homura proud, and yes, she does have a skin of her own ported from her combat game only though a JP account register, and an alternative school outfit skin as well, simply by watching Puella Magi vids of San Andreas, and looking down in their description for surviving links.

Now that all is well again as it was before I started modding, I can be sure I am ready to try again but will try to take proactive steps to back up the game and not just the peds in case if it gets wrecked again, probably starting tomorrow. I might even try to test the game unmodded without the Frame Limiter setting, but I can't quite sure if it can lead to some interesting side effects, not to mention the sneaky heart attack error when CJ attempts to climb something or firing weapons becoming much smoother.

Makes me feel a bit better if it really isn't manipulation. Still not sure how to feel about it all.

It's not particularly hard to adjust numbers to make the game easier. While I don't really know about this "Games need an easy mode" thing, I can see why someone would want to. Games are more than just mechanics and playing, some have extremely interesting and intricate stories that people want to experience, but due to their lack of ability they can't. And honestly, how hard is it to get the intern to change numbers.

I'm much more prepared for the anamalous effects of the forthcoming anime invasion than last time now that my speedrun has improved drastically by the number of in-game days passed being less and it starts in the mid-spring of 1992 just not long after the historic riots subsided. I can sense their revolutionary drums beating slowly as the number of ordinary citizens begin to fall over to anime transformations one by one. Once all of the ordinary female peds have fallen to anime girls, things will get very interesting in one of two ways, hence the new disposition meter.

Performing acts of good with the waifus (not ordinary people) and doing missions with them raises up this meter slowly into the red (the heart symbol), unlocking useful animations, features and encounters with this side of the invasion. On the contrary, helping the cops even though they are all corrupt nonetheless, provoking or killing anime girls, and disrespecting their culture are all ways to push the meter into the blue. (the lightning symbol) A high enough positive disposition means they'll actually help me stamp out corruption in their path, aid me when you need them the most, and even the opportunity to make friendships, whereas a high enough negative disposition generally means they'll come after me like the police, becoming tougher to evade the deeper into the blue it gets.

Fuck tha po-lice, we've got our waifus to save! Who's with me?!

It's just a silly anthropomorphization but something about this picture is unsettling to me in a way I can't really explain. Good on the artist if that was their intention.

Just wait until after I made the first few missions with them with the DYOM maker mod I am getting shortly. With so many modded peds, I added a tiny ASI file that helped fix up the streaming lag and sudden disappearance of textures when the map tries to load while there's modded stuff around, even increased the loading limit for allowed textures at any one time, it truly worked for me. Some of the people from my original list did not come but at least I swapped them with something else. Anyways, you might not see my first eyewitness shots of the anime invasion until I trigger the first mission through a mysterious call like the one CJ can get if he gets into debt from casinos or the inside track.

Since my current in-game time is still roughly 22:00 on May 3, and the invasion doesn't start until I get to my first modded mission marker in Leafy Hollow around 23:00-05:00, that means the mysterious call trigger won't come until the next minute in real time and I have time to spare on the way there. From this point, until the end of the post-game storyline, (around sixteen missions long); my dispositon meter starts working with zero points. I can earn up or down to a maximum of a thousand points, which is a lot to earn my keep or make them very mad.

Here's a happy crowd of anime people when my dispositon meter is very high:

And here's a rather emotionless anime duo about to perform a hit (assassination attempt) when my disposition meter is very low:

Aaah understaffed departments, never gets old. Working 10-12 hours a day, good times. Last night I was alone at the whole office, managing all the god damn departments haha. Way above my paygrade. But I welcome the experience, I'm getting more and more used to taking responsibility and less and less stressed. Personal development, I welcome it.

That's no good, Yuu-san... Make sure to take care of yourself, 'kay? :<
