Reset Windows. Install Manjaro on new SSD. Get all that jazz setup, install games and enjoy.
Ok I lied. I'm doing it tonight because I gotta wipe my Game SSD anyway because I won't be playing those games on Windows. Might as well install it now!

Not so good. Install failed. Then I had to go to class, and spend 3 hours doing lab stuff and some of that being troubleshooting. Not sure if I wanna give it a second go and troubleshoot some more LOL Might just give it a go tomorrow morning.
We have some success! It's installed at least.

Edit:
rEFInd is ugly af though, gonna have to theme that.
Edit 2:
How tf do I get this shit to keep my display settings. It won't stay on 120/144hz. My primary monitor gets reset. linux2hard pepehands. Guess I'll figure this out tomorrow.
I would assume my new law in Vitello is now in effect requiring that all nations who come in to pass a background check there will be no fairy-related affiliates. If I find out a nation is associated with fairies no matter how weak their support is going to be "banjected" into the Rejected Realms until they confirm they have none. Those that strongly support fairies will not only be "banjected", but will have relations dipped to hostile status and hunted down.

Yay! I'm not sure why it's forgetting your display settings though. When does it forget them?

Maybe driver problem?
I've been dicking about with that for a few hours now, and the conclusion I've come to is that I have the best drivers for my setup already installed. From what I've read video-amdgpu is bundled with video-linux and I already have that.
CSGO runs like dogshit as well, which isn't a great sign for gaming.
CSGO Windows: 250fps or higher
CSGO Linux: 80fps, if I'm lucky.
tfw you gotta post in the newbie corner cause you're bad at this whole linux thing.
Do you guys think in the future there could be futanari surgery? Like legit notn trans type surgery. So we in lesbian relationships can have kiddos :3

I popped in the desktop thread, didn't see you using any distros, so I'm writing this assuming you've got zero Linux experience: This is a huge, huuge reason why I strictly use Debian-based distros, specifically Ubuntu MATE and KDE Neon. Manjaro is an Arch-based distro, and they really aren't meant for beginners. My flirtation with it was fun, but I'd rather a computer actually do things than be an ongoing project that explodes with each update.
If you're looking for max performance whilst gaming, I'd personally recommend KDE Neon, or Kubuntu for an easier out-of-box experience. They both use the KDE desktop environment, and which is easily the most customizable you don't build yourself. If you're looking for something lightweight, try Ubuntu MATE, or Lubuntu/Xubuntu for really old hardware. Ironically, I'd strongly recommend against "vanilla" Ubuntu, since it uses the super-bloated and unintuitive GNOME 3 desktop environment.
Linux Mint is also a great choice, that comes with the ultra-familiar and attractive Cinnamon desktop. Just make sure you get the Ubuntu-based version rather than the Debian-based one. Of course, you could also install Debian itself, but its update schedule is downright glacial and it uses the atrocious GNOME 3.
Oh, and one last thing. I remember Manjaro has a ridiculously-easy install wizard for dual-booting, but that's not always an option for some (or even most) of the above distros. Unless you've got the capability to make backups and feel confident following online tutorials, I'd recommend a nice, comfy install of Ubuntu MATE. Just delete your Manjaro partition and follow the same steps as a traditional Ubuntu dual-boot install.

That's a bit strange. You might be able to work around it by adding
xrandr -r 144
to ~/.xinitrc
Test the command out before you actually save it to that file first though.

That really doesn't sound right. Double check that you're loading the correct driver with
lspci -vnn | grep VGA -A 12

Maaaaaybe. Not sure how it would work without penis/testicle donors though. Another possibility is that we modify our genes to just have both sex organs from birth - that way everyone's happy.

I'll definitely check that out. I resolved my FPS issue with CSGO. Resetting the settings to default apparently was the cure? So it runs 200FPS or higher on max, but on low it doesn't. Odd. Refresh rate also works fine in CSGO. Honestly the only game where I care about refresh rate, Risk of Rain 2 - while I'd like to make use of my monitors refresh rate - isn't gonna be as necessary to play.
It was a more innocent time. Or perhaps, I was at a more innocent age.

I've heard they're workin' on that stuff now, with cursory success in early human trials. So like, here's hoping! ^^
I need to get a consistent sleep schedule so I can do the things I want to do during the day. Like go for a walk, stream, or not be a lazy pos. T_T

Avengers: Endgame presumably.
