small websites\forums you like

http://hubski.com/ is a nice one. its layout is a bit like reddit but it doesnt really work with upvotes or downvotes, they have their own system of tags and buddy system. They value thoughtful posts and interesting content which is really refreshing

It's a website I came across when I asked around on /qa/ for any textboards. There's a rather absurd number of boards compared to the userbase so it's pretty slow (they even have a stray imageboard for some reason) but because of that you can still find some threads from as far back as 2005 so it functions as a sort of time capsule that you can still contribute to.

just gonna say before anyone does it, posting other forums (besides imageboards) or sites attached to other forums is a no.

I've actually never played Yume Nikki (yet) but I've spent some time on the NEET board. (it was my first chan getting emotional)
It's slow but as far as I remember I've never seen a shitposter.
