I've always considered exploration and discovery to be an inherent desire for all human beings. We need to find new things; we need to understand how they work. Sadly, though music can invoke a wide variety of feelings in its listener (sadness, happiness, and everything in between,) very few songs have even come close to emulating the inner gratification that arises from exploring a vast and boundless frontier.

And then, there are pieces like this this one.
