When are you going to post more vids on instagram? I've been waiting for you to hit a darkslide or something...

No one does dark slides, lol. I can give you a backside feeble down a handrail though.

What? It's definitely uncommon because not everyone wants to re-grip their board every day. but people still do them. I stopped giving a fuck about my grip months ago and practice them whenever. Lots of people at the parks I go to bust 'em out as well.

Oh. It just depends I guess, I never see it at my park or in any video parts and it was never something we used to do when street skating around town. Now that I think about it it's kinda weird that we never did them, maybe just because we didn't think to.

I don't think of skateboarding as a sport. As it started, skateboarding was counter to all of the conventional idea's behind a sport. It was something that was for individuals and formed bonds around progressing not winning. It doesn't have to be organized, have any rules, or requirements past a skateboard.  I can skate well into my 40's and despite what nike, addidas, and mountain dew try to sell you- skateboarding isn't a sport.

also i know you are just shitposting  :tehe😐

Skateboarding is a sport.

Some people think so, others don't. I agree with those who don't.

I mean that fucking cup stacking thing is also called a "sport".

Holy autistic ignorance, Batman!

Skateboarding requires more mental fortitude than most sports. The ability to trust yourself to do what you need to to not break a leg is huge. You've clearly never tried skating, so you shouldn't be judging it. Also it requires like, 2-3 * more physical exertion than Basketball.

tl;dr you're stupid.

Dude, I assure you I skate. I am not saying that skateboarding is less than any sport, I am saying that by calling it a sport you are demeaning it. Ask any old skater and they will tell you that skateboarding should have never gone down the path it did. As cheesy as it sounds skateboarding is in a way a lifestyle and by calling it a sport you are taking away the individuality and purpose of skating.

But if you really think skateboarding is about Gatorade commercials, big business capitalizing on it by selling it like its a style, and quitting because you'll never be as good as the guys at street league then that's fine. You are just kind of a fucking poser.

tl;dr go back to fucking zumiez

Just cause it became a sport doesn't have to change the reason you skate. I don't skate to be a pro or anything just as something to do and get out of the house.  :noship:

Edit: Fuck zumies

Your entire point is based off you thinking other sports don't have life-styles that go along with them.

They literally all do.
