Well not "Best" persay, but what's YOUR personal favorite genre? Do you like action adventure stuff, slice of life stuff, psychological stuff? something else?
Personally, I watch 95% slice of life, shoujo, or josei stuff - I like the character interaction, character development, drama, etc associated with these series.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Mecha... seeing as it's one of Japan's oldest and most popular genre's. :sigh:

I think Physiological is "best" genre because it is a genre that can really thrive within the medium. Anime like Serial Experiments Lain, Perfect Blue, EVA just to name a few are stories that require the freedom of animation. Some of the scenes just simply have less impact Live Action or with cgi unlike some other genres.
But yea, you added Josei but not Mecha! And if your adding Josei you need to add Seinen. Its all good tho

Haha I completely forgot about Mecha sorry about that. I actually started the poll and thought okay. WTF do I put in all these boxes now haha. I drew a blank. That's why I threw Other in there ^-^ I used to be really into Gundam when I was younger ohh and Robotech. Goodstuff. I'm not the hugest Evagelion fan - but no denying it's a cult classic too. My personal favorite Mecha is Magic Knights Rayearth. I think it's the only "Shoujo" x "Mecha" manga / anime around.

Nah but shounen/action/adventure is my favorite. And romance is graet too when I'm in that kinda mood.
