Kawaii Makeup

Have you heard of kawaii or gyaru makeup? Basically, it's mimicking the features of a doll:

  1. Wide Eyes
  2. Curled Lashes
  3. Pink Cheeks
  4. Flawless Skin
  5. Pink Lips
  6. Using of Fake Eye Lashes
  7. Glittery Eye Shadows

Personally, I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to my makeup. But I have to say that Japanese girls who have perfected the kawaii makeup look quite amazing. I'm not sure though if I can pull it off since we have warm climate from where I am. The makeup might end up smearing all through my face, lol!

I have seen a lot of girls that do this, especially on Youtube, and you're right some of them have perfected it and look pretty good. Then there are some that you can just tell didn't get it quite right. For myself, I don't wear makeup at all.

One day I would love to try and cosplay. It seems like a lot of fun. I have some friends who are into cosplaying. But then again I don't know if I could pull it off. I have enough trouble with my make up on a normal day. More so if trying to get that kawaii look. 🙂

Don't mind Pop... he's a 10 year old looking for conflict.

They have some cool beauty products in Japan and Korea. There's like this white, almost like putty stuff, that the girls use over there, it's like a facial mask or something, you put it on for like 5 or 10 minutes and scrub it off, but it gives your skin a really nice look - makes it really even and glowing and just so kawaii. They also have some WEIRD trends in Korea though too, the girls (and I guess guys too obviously, cuz most girls only care how they look to impress guys so ultimately the trends are influenced by what men find attractive), anyways, the girls over there think Eye bags are "cute" they even try to accentuate them and make them more "puffy". They call it "Aegyo Sal" which translates to "Cute/Winsome Skin".

As for the whole "Living Doll" thing. It's not my cup of tea. But I think everyone should dress how they want to and not care what anyone else thinks. If they have millions of dollars to invest in plastic surgery, makeup, wardrobe, wigs, hair products, and etc to make themselves into living dolls, if that's what makes them happy, as long as they're not going into debt or putting themselves in danger (from too many or too dangerous of procedures) then meh, it's not my business what they do.

Personally though, I honestly don't find this kawaii:
