What makes you post?

Posts

I am well aware that this thread is a bit ironic in its own nature. But this is question that needs to be answered as fast as possible. This is a new forum that will (hopefully) try to grow as large as possible. (It has a good niche and a even better name.) But one thing is super-important if you want to grow a forum and that is activity! So I have a slight question for y'all!

What makes you want to post on a forum?

This is a question that can and will prove useful to the current administration as they can be able to provide you with what you want in order for you to become more active. If there is something you miss, then the only way to get it is to notify the administration about it, otherwise they may not always think about it. They aren't mind readers after all.

Well good community and nice staff is everything that I need for a good forum 😛

Interesting discussions is one of the main reasons I will ever post to a forum. Other than that I basically lurk around and give away shit once in awhile.

This goes for me as well, I prefer long conversations about theories, concepts or ideas that can have different views.

I mostly enjoy being a part of a community. Good helpful staff members that actually give a crap about their members, and members that are actually helpful and enjoy sharing information and fun discussions about things they love make up a good community. I just enjoy having people of similar interests to mine to chat with.

A forum which looks great and matches the them/topic it espouses will be great! Other than that I would love to have really insightful discussions about the various anime and mangas, and the impact of anime and maga culture in general.

So I don't have to reveal my love for anime to the world.

It's as long as the forum community have a fair vibe, i would be more tempted to post. Im more of a lurker when it comes to forums with frequent drama.

Having nothing better to do and wanting to gamble with RPS because I have a problem  :dontwanna:

This is actually a pretty interesting question for a thread. Me, I came for the comfy atmosphere, and I stayed for the wonderful people.

As for the concept of a forum itself, I love the fact that discussions can span days or even weeks, and that almost every topic can be resurrected provided you have something interesting to say. This is a huge boon to busy people like me; especially those who work alone, and don't often get to talk face-to-face with people.

Oh, and it's nice to talk to people about anime.

As a hikikomori, I do it to fill the void in my life where IRL social interaction should be. That is, I'm in it for the (You)'s... or rather, the RE:s and <3s. It's nice to be heard, and to hear other people.

Usually my motivation for posting somewhere is believing that I have something that I can contribute be it in a serious discussion or laidback funposting. Interactions with others are a nice bonus.

Finding a healthy alternative to 4chan and /pol/ and /v/ in particular. also i need a more personal site to relax at and I've found the weeb community to be the most accepting.

Personally, I've always appreciated that everyone here is genuine. Save a few isolated holdouts, every community I've visited seems to be chock-fulla amateur comedians who mask crippling anxieties with a veneer of bitter irony. They embrace depression like it's a fact of life, and generally reveal only the tiniest fraction of their personalities to everyone else, likely out of fear of rejection.

Unless you're mentally ill, it stands in complete cognitive dissonance with how friendships work in real life. The absence of this is just one of many reasons why Lewd is a treasure to me. ^^

Pretty much me

It's not like I want to just come down here and post on a whim, but here is the true side of myself that makes me truly shine. You see, being a prominent member in times when activity dips to its lowest, you can bet I can cause an activity spike out of sheer inspiration and hope in the best way possible, albeit very rarely, and I did once since last May.

Long before I even came here, when I got nothing to do last winter, I wanted to test myself in a few places to see if I can fit in there or try something else, like most newcomers do. I wander about the web for a bit looking for comfortable, user-friendly places to check out until I run into the administrator Clickbait (now Melancholy) directly and thought, hmm, who is he or what have I gotten myself into this? I then browse a bit of this place as a guest for a short while before coming up with a name that represents myself, that is why I being called Lucian and dreamer means someone who is able to fantasize a lot, going to otherworldly places through dreams and is very imaginary in every aspect. Though most of the time ironic because I do not dream of anything for a long time.

To answer the question as to what truly makes me post around here is I want to make the best out of this place as much as possible, and I have humor on my side, no matter what my mood is to lighten things up. Perhaps one day I might wake up to find myself rising up far beyond being regular to have a nice little red heart to show how proud I really am, but only speculate at the impossibility of becoming one. <3

This makes me want to post more...
