Really, I should of continued my post and asked whether there is any metal that's much lighter on the ears?

I wasn't posthunting at all, I was just too ingulfed in Anime to pay full attention to what I was replying.

Power Metal! Typically a lot easier on the ears as it is a far more tame genre of metal.

I got more suggestions but this'll be good enough to give you a feel for power metal.

personally im not a huge fan of black metal I like a bit different

this band Anaal(lol) Nathrakh is a weird mix of black and grind iunno but I love there new music
