16/12/2014 - SSL Installed, images loaded differently, admin rep.

Posts

A SSL has been installed, thus making the site faster with its SPDY support.

I've also made all the images load through embed.ly's API, until I have time to work on a more permanent solution. This shouldn't affect the way anyone uses the site, and only serves as a way of getting rid of the horrifying padlock that displays whenever an unsecure element is on a page.

If you see the padlock on any pages, be sure to let me know; and I'll fix it whenever I can.

Administrators (including myself) can now receive reputation; simply because it's a way of seeing what this community thinks of my administration.

With all respect needed, you won't exactly find valuable feedback with rep.

Maybe a little, but I wouldn't count on it.

People might get angry and neg me, which would be a clear indication that someone is mad.

People get mad at stupid shit. People neg for no reason.

It's more of a comment system than anything else.

Yeah, that's fairly true; it doesn't hurt enabling it though.

shit admin omg -99999 rep so bad.

Yeah, I like rep because it makes me feel like I'm worth something, but I wouldn't put it up there as a solid system to evaluation satisfaction.
