What you don't know? do you use itunes or nomal rep like winamp, foobar or something else? you need to download a software.

If you use spotify there is an option to link it to your profile, then auth the app by loggin in on lastfm.

What's the porpuse of last.fm? I mean, what is for?

To keep track of your listening habits and building a library of artists and also is a way to know bands according to your tastes. That's the main purpose, then comes building events charts of the bands and creating some sort of wikis and build your favorite bands' profile on the site by uploading your favorite photos and shit. It's unique.

On the other hand is like any other social network, you'll get to know tons of people with similar taste to talk with.

I have a 9-year old account there and holy shit, it's amazing how it never fails to recommend good bands.

Once you get up to about 100,000 listens the recommendations are usually on point.

I just got started with last.fm due to this post. Installed a plugin in mpv and it's working well.

I haven't used Last.fm since they overhauled the site. And it seems that foo_audioscrobbler doesn't work with Libre.fm anymore. Guess I'll give Last.fm another chance.
