Most of his policy probably isn't going to get through, but the one thing he's basically guaranteed is austerity. I'm on food stamps and medicaid, the kind of things he's going to want to slash funding for, so that's really scary for me.

Bernie would've had a much higher chance of beating Trump than Hillary (by that I mean people actually liked the guy) but I doubt he would have been able to do any more than Trump or Hillary if he got elected. Not while Congress is a deadman walking anyway.

Well, that too, but I what meant was that even if Bernie got elected with a Democratic House and Senate there's no way he could ever hope to deliver on his campaign promises considering how much they clash with the views of the mainstream Democrats. He'd just alienate people in his own party and lose support that he needs to do anything which is something that Trump is going to find out the hard way if he hasn't already come to that realization.

I think he has his speech last night was pretty different than his campaign rallies.

Well, I can't say I am happy. I'm hoping for the best though. That's all I can do at this point.
