08/05/2015 - Slack Integration

You can now receive your forum alerts on Slack!

Linking your slack account is fairly simple, to do so, just follow these steps:

1. Go here.

2. Fill in this field with your Slack username (not your "real name", but your actual username):

3. Click "update options"

4. Slack should now send you a verification code:
   Image no longer available

5. Click the link and there should be a new checkbox:
   Image no longer available

6. Fill it with your verification code and hit "update options"

7. You have successfully verified your slack account:
   Image no longer available

With the Slack integration, I have brought back the Announcement and Introductions alerts, which now happen instantly as opposed to a random amount of time later.

The automatic invitation to our Slack is coming soon. :smile:

If you're not already in the Slack and you can't wait for the automatic invitation system, PM me your email address.
