I've been quite lonely for the last 2 years, I haven't seen my friends in months and I've only chatted with them a few times in the last couple of weeks. My co-workers don't share things in common with me, I'm never invited to parties or meetings. I got nothing to do, just stay in my room and cry over my loneliness. I use my computer until my eyes start to burn. I need help.

What has been bothering you lately?

Every time I go on /jp/ I get stressed about rampant westernization of Japan. See this, someone thinking that Japan should bury its characteristic power lines to fit western tastes:
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2016...Kl89IVqv6g

Japan Times is also Huffington Post-level nonsense, so I'm not taking it too seriously, but it's disheartening to see trends of trying to accommodate western interests at the expense of what makes Japan such a distinctive country, down to details like power lines.

I hate being this negative. The idea of moving to Japan and living in that culture is what my whole life is about and the idea of the culture losing all that makes it special is horrifying 🙁

Are you near Southampton, UK and want to hang out by any chance? ^_^

I can relate to your post pretty well @"Loli".

If you (or anyone else) needs to talk or anything, don't hesitate to PM me.

I know I can be pretty horrible sometimes, but I really am here for anyone.

If I were to judge my situation from an outside view, I'd say that in reality over the course of three months. I've fell down a spiral of anxiety, depression and whatnot. It's hard to really know without a doctors perspective, I'm just speculating from my own self observations. But at this point I think I can acknowledge that I have a problem and that my mental health is deteriorating over time in isolation and solitude. At this point I've missed so much of my school that I'm practically a NEET, leeching off society. Which I feel guilty about.

I thought I'd comment on this because it read like a familiar experience.
You mentioned that you acknowledge there's a problem but that it's hard to be sure without speaking to a doctor. I felt much the same, I was pretty sure there was a problem, even without that confirmation. In my experience speaking to someone just confirms what you already know. There are benefits to it though, my diagnosis happend pretty much instantly and to be honest whether you are opposed to pills or not, atleast you can focus on improving the situation, instead of doubting a problem exists.

It might be worth the trip just to put your mind at ease ^^

My mom spill her tea all over my laptop keyboard .
Lucky thing the motherboard is safe & dry.
Now i have to use External keyboard and add 0.5KG to my backpack :'"")

and my laptop screen is dead , i have to use external monitor...

ffs my life...

Man, all I want is to live my life normally again. No more special diets; no more daily routines... Is that so much to ask for?

Somehow I can understand this lonliness. It's being almost 3 years that I'm working remotely and this is not helping with my social life. So most the time when I'm not working I just stay at home watching movies, animes or tv series or just playing some games. And it's a little sad sometimes.

Diets suck... what'd they put you on, if you don't mind me asking?

Today is my 22nd birthday and I have spent the day on the floor of my bedroom, completely alone.

Shit, dude. Sorry, I don't have much in the way of advice. All I can really say is that I know how you feel to a certain degree. hugs

Thanks for the advice. For the record I have reached out to my parents at least, I will be dropping out of university and moving back to parents for the time being. Tough to share those feelings, but it felt good to share them. Sucks but at least I'll have friends and family in proximity, compared to the eternal loneliness and isolation I've had last 5 months.

It's great that there are supportive people around you now, hopefully you'll find that helps your mood. Considering you're moving back home, try not to worry too much about uni, you can always pick it up again later if you feel up to it. All the best Yuu ^^

This hits harder than it should... Pretty much my entire college career for the past two years has been me sitting in my dorm room typing, reading, or interacting with something on a computer. I wish I had more hours to socialize, but between classes, job apps, and managing my personal life, there just isn't enough time...

The worst part is that when there is time, sometimes there is no motivation to socialize. 🙁

Kinda wished I can go back in time to my freshmen year of highschool and tell myself to not do stupid shit and to try and socialize with other people cause now I'm a senior and only prob talk to like 1 person. Most of my friends dropped me or I dropped some of them and all for stupid reasons. But, I guess that's life ;_;
