Had a lovely high of 19 degrees Fahrenheit today, though it didn't feel that cold when I was out shoveling.

Well at least ya got snow! Us, we're slated for nearly a whole week of rain, followed by more chilly days. >_<

Boy it's a scorcher out here
I think it's snowed more this past week than it has for the last month or so. Definitely a welcome change.
"Uggh, the winds are so strong I can almost predict whether I might get a power interruption or not every other minute here."

Not too long ago we had gusts here that were capable of bowling over a tanker truck on the highway. It got to around 100 MPH in some places.

That is the kind of storm (bombogenesis) that helped us Americans won the Revolution against the British right where you live back then. Same thing happened twice for Russia, as well.

It's also the same kind of storm that's knocked out my power for half my town. I suppose I'll be living in the 1800's for a day or two. ^^'
We have another one on the way, and it is going to be a very bad one.
Mother Nature, you better not be kidding me with another snow front dump, hmmph!
I love how Spring cockteased us with two days in the eighties, then was like "lolno, it's ten degrees above freezing again". Given climate change and all that, it wouldn't surprise me if we're making up for that Indian summer we had till mid-November.

Jokes on you, UK is super hot right now
It's nearly three in the afternoon on a mid May day yet it's only fifty degrees Fahrenheit outside. Summer still hasn't come here completely. I'm not complaining though.
I felt the chills when I least expected it the other night, it's time for me to embrace autumn.
It's 50 degrees here and rainy. The autumn winds have begun to stir.
I personally welcome cooler days. The sunlight hours are brisk, and the nights are especially serene once winter gets into full swing. Can't say I'm a big fan of the four straight days of rain we're getting, though.
