What a strange Christmas season this is turning out to be, aye? Aside from my family, I don't think I've seen another human being in almost a week. Likewise, I haven't heard a single lick of the traditional Christmas tunes around this time. No Feliz Navidad, no It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, not even that accursed Frosty the Snowman...
No... Instead these are the first holidays I'll spend alone. In contact with those I care deeply for, but far from people. In spite of everything I'm going through right now, sometimes it's nice to just step outside, throw this on my headphones, and peer up silently at the falling snow...

If we are doing GuP, it has to be Polyushko-polye! The OVA where Erwin and Yukari go on some winter recon is comfy af and their marching song is great too!

Haaah~... Today, I didn't get up till rather late in the day. That's the migraines for ya, I suppose. Still~, 'tis a good day, and like on all good days, I'd reckon it's important I start off on the right foot.
I think today, I'll call upon a rather unconventional Christmas song, mixed with one of the popular tunes from my earliest memories. Heh, the ones I got to keep, anyhow. The result is something truly special, at least to me.

Agreed! The original songs are damn good and I really like their renditions of the old military songs. I will always play British Grenadiers or the French song about onions if I play as a musician in Holdfast. I picked up Hell Let Loose the other day and it immediately stole my heart by playing Erika on the main menu.
Anyways, more Christmas music for Christmas! I really like Saber Alter's version of Jingle Bells.

What better sendoff to this nightmare of a year than a Caramelldansen Christmas mix? And sure, I mighta missed the day itself, but there's still plenty 'a time before the holidays end to jam out to this and the original. ^~^
