Detective RPG

Posts

I am making a detective RPG! Wooooo! As the Saint Clair one seems to not be happening (Been 2 months)

Here we go. First off all introduction. You are some of the best detectives in the world. Your job is to solve cases but at times a small case might end up just opening one bigger and more dangerous. There will be theft, murder, mystery, probably hauntings. All takes place in a city called Silverdale in the industrial era (1800s)

Before we start things make your character.

Name:
Your agency name:
Bio:
Body shape: (Will be important) or see below
Appearances: Like if were glasses there could be an issue like if they fall or use a pic before doing bio so its your character

Yaaaay! Sounds fun, especially if it gives me a chance to shy away from the gritty realism I've been known for. 😃

Actually, I stumbled upon the perfect music for this just the other day. Would I be wrong in imagining some steampunk/early sci-fi aesthetics to go with? Might be nice. :3

Name: Marley Wheaton
Quote: "Adventure beckons, friend. Let's not keep her waiting."
Angency Name: Wheaton and Company
Bio: Born into money, Marley Wheaton's lifelong dream was to become a detective. Of course, nobody expected him to be genuinely good at it. Still somewhat of a dandy, he relies strongly on his wit and charm to coax key information out of his leads, and shies away from the brutality practiced by some of his colleages.
Body Shape: Marley's body reflects his style as a professional. He's tall and trim, and boasts a natural glister in his eye for both ladies, and the gentlemen. But though he'd feel right at home running a country mile, he'd be hard-pressed to succeed in a fistfight.

Appearance

Woo someone wants to play!

Okay so here is an example how cases will be made out

OOC: It was fun being the sole detective last time, but I have something else on my hands as of right now.

Our story begings in Silverdale (which looks like industrial era London just partly steampunky) the year is 1860. Crime is in the rise but nothing the police can't handle. It is the few cases the police can't handle that come to the hands of Sakuya Izayoi. She sends cases to Dectective Agencies who are qualified for this tedious line of work. Only the cleaver and cunning can solve these cases.

Sakuya sends the first case (test)

Case: #0000 The Missing Pearls

Details

Location: Silverdale Hotel
Client: Mrs Smith

Odjective: Find the pearls.

Beware Marley the Team 9 Agency is in the case too!

How to play.

Look for clues in the discription of rooms. This is a test case to show how the game is played.

There will be emotion details under characters you speak to. Depending on their emotion can make them talk more, if you push too far they will stop talking to you.

Take case to proceed with the story~

"Missing jewels? Hm, quite the conundrum..." Marley thought aloud, pacing across the lobby whilst grasping at his chin. His glittery gray eye passed over all manner of folk who milled about the hall - bankers and businessmen, sailors and tailors, scoundrels and streetwalkers. Even the children were inspected by his gaze, particularly the thin little lobby boy.

At last he returned to Mrs. Smith and spoke,

"Well Madame, I am but a humble gentleman. A dandy of sorts, though some would call me a scoundrel. But a gentleman seldom retreats from a challenge of wits, and in lieu of the proper authorities I shall do the best I can." he said, caressing her dainty little hand with a smile. Then, with a squeeze, he led them up the grand staircase towards her room and continued,

"Tell me, Mrs. Smith, what brings you to Silverdale? Just traveling, or did you and your husband have some business in mind?"

I been thinking of a new way to format cases and people but for this tutorial case I won't.

[Mrs.Smith

Relationship status: Married
Age:26
Mood: Calm

Mrs Smith: Pleasure to met you. I came to Silvervale with my husband for buisness. I did see a odd fellow follow us to the hotel. I don't like to point fingers but I beilieve he might of swipped my pearls from my bag.

Lobby: In thre lobby there is as menioned before a bunch of well dressed folk. And 2 shaddy looking people. One with a cane and another with a hood.

(Cirno is at the bar drinking juice. Not a good detective)

Breaking News! Well updates and future stuff.

By cases you do your detective rating aka repulation the more cases and famous you are. All start D rank. Highest Being S.

Case: #0013 Jack the Ripper is unlocked after the 12 previsous are done.

The Silver Family: Grade A to start that saga

Sherlock Homes Murder Case: Be S rank to unlock

Lets say DLC

Saint Clair Hotel Mystery (Ren said she'll help me with this one)

"Indeed? I do hope he didn't accost you two." he returned, noting that she wasn't particularly shaken by it.

From his vantage upon the bannister, Marley found clear sight of the entire lobby. He made note of all, though his eyes were particularly drawn to the man with a cane. Such implements were common in the hands of the elderly, yet this man appeared to lack all hallmarks of advanced age. His sable hair, though thinning on top, was nonetheless flush with its original color. But it was his cheeks, still taut upon their bones, that marked him in Marley's mind as somewhere between twenty and forty. A cripple, perhaps? It would explain the cane, but he'd need to observe his gait to decide.

Meanwhile, he had another question for the darling Mrs. Smith. "Pray tell, how did he coax the pearls from you? Did he simply wrest them from your hands? Perhaps use a pistol, a sword, a staff or a cane? Or was there no such confrontation, and did you discover only after you'd returned to your room?"

Mrs Smith becomes nervous. I-I saw them missing once I got back to my room. She says while holding onto her purse.
