There's been a steadily-growing community of English (and Russian!) YouTubers that specialize in covering Japanese songs from anime, J-pop and Vocaloid. I figured I'd draw a little attention to them here. ^_^
Foreign-language covers of Japanese songs

There's a small playlist of songs I have for when I want to cry my eyes out. This here's a recent favorite of mine.
I definitely think that Circles is the better one of the two. I really love the vocaloid version of the first one, but the cover feels a little too laboured for my tastes.
I heard this version before I heard the actual one so I'll always think of this song being Russian.

I know the feeling! I've got those same sentiments towards Hatsune Miku's World is Mine. Granted, I got a taste of the song from a briefly-aired advert for new Toyotas (Yes, really.), and that let me pick up the backing rhythm in an instant; but I only heard the full song a few weeks back. JubyPhonic's flawless cover doesn't hurt, either.
Usually I'm not a fan of Lollia's voice, but once in a while I stumble across a song that just "works" perfectly. This is one of 'em.
One of the folks in the comments said Lollia's voice is practically "made for powerchords". I reckon they ain't wrong. ^_^
I have a hard time enjoying most English covers of Jap songs. Although, Jonathan Young puts out some pretty good stuff.

I've always liked this cover of the Youyou Senki ED. The song is partly in German anyway, so it fits pretty well.
Can't imagine that listening to this on loudspeakers in public in Germany would go down well.

Goddamn, this song's catchy. I have no idea why some exec from Funimation or Aniplex hasn't had the bright idea to give translyric cover artists an actual contract or something. If they put this onto iTunes or the Play Store, I'd buy it at least ten times before pirating it.
On the bright side though, we did get JubyPhonic to voice the MC in The Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. The faces she makes in the booth are hilarious. xD
It seems a lot of Rin and Len's popular discography sounds phenomenal in English. I especially loved this this one for the ponytail they gave Len, and the delicious smugs they manage to pull off.
It's catchy, too. Once everyone passed out last night, I mighta listened to this whilst I was hopping around, cleaning up the kitchen in my maid outfit. ^~^
You know... As much as I love Vocaloid, sometimes a song hits so much harder when a human being sings it. Cryin' shame that the music industry is such a racket; I'd buy a signed copy of his entire discography, if I could.
This mashup slaps harder than Triple-Q's one of Easy Breezy and Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. And that's sayin' somethin, heh.
In a surprising twist, my country turned out a song that's been covered endlessly by my favorite artists. My personal fave's gotta be this German rendition by Selphius. It's so suave and laidback, and the slick lyric video's a nice touch. I could totes imagine this playing at a quiet coffee shop in Dahlem. ^~^
I've always loved this song, but I reckon this is the first English cover that captures the spirit of the original. It just leaves you so energized, y'know? ^~^
This is so heartwarming and peppy... I'll be humming this every morning for a good while, I'm sure. ^~^
